90 COLUMBUS: Modern Amenities, Dynamic Neighborthoods and Dramatic Views

90 Columbus has entered the downtown Jersey City residential scene with 539 rental residences and a full suite of modern amenities in one of the city's most dynamic neighborhoods.

Leasing is underway at the new 51-story tower which was developed by Ironstate Development Company and Panepinto Properties at the entrance to the Grove Street PATH Station, with convenient service to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.  The building is also just steps from an eclectic array of restaurants, shops, cafes and nightlife destinations, including the vibrant Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza.

The overall lifestyle offering – which also includes dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline, New York Harbor and Statue of Liberty — has quickly caught the attention of the marketplace, with more than 100 leases signed in the first three weeks and a number of residents already moved in.

"90 Columbus reflects the evolution of Jersey City and our commitment to delivering a lifestyle experience that meaningfully connects with today's urban renter," said Michael Barry, President of Ironstate Development Company.  "From modern design to innovative and thoughtfully-curated amenity spaces to an ultra-convenient location, 90 Columbus is a great addition to the Jersey City landscape."

The new residential tower is the fourth and final phase of The Columbus Collection, a mixed-use offering jointly developed by Ironstate and Panepinto Properties that comprises 1,484 rental residences, a 152-suite Residence Inn by Marriot® hotel, an approximate 1,000-space enclosed parking garage, and street-level retail space housing Base Gym and Sprove Market Place.

"The Columbus Collection has proven to be a tremendous asset to Jersey City and has helped spearhead the proliferation of new lifestyle offerings throughout the Grove Street neighborhood," said Joseph Panepinto, president & CEO of Panepinto Properties.  "The amalgam of residential, retail and hospitality reflect the innovative lifestyle and culture of the city."

While a striking architectural addition to the Jersey City skyline from the outside, 90 Columbus' interior social spaces illustrate the developers' commitment to creating something that is both design driven and totally unique.  The partnership tapped famed Parisian interior architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and internationally-renowned landscape designer Bas Smets to create an oasis of calm set apart from the bustle of the city.  Their embrace of nature, color and shapes can be found in the building's intimate-but-grand lobby attended by a 24-hour doorman and full-time porters, soaring two-story communal lounge with a lush green winter garden, and expansive communal workspace, all featuring leafy green plantings that run wild throughout the spaces.

Residents also have access to a 60,000 square-foot outdoor landscaped roof deck with a pool, BBQ grilling stations, sport court, dog run, and children's play area, and receive membership to the street-level, 30,000 sq.-ft. Base Gym.

"90 Columbus provides a fresh and creative new lifestyle choice for residents in one of Downtown Jersey City's most sought-after neighborhoods," said Jacqueline Urgo, President of The Marketing Directors, the building's exclusive leasing and marketing agent.  "Prospective renters are truly amazed when they tour the building and see how unique and well thought-out the design and amenities are, which is reflected in the early leasing activity."

A collection of well-appointed studios, one- and two-bedroom residences was designed for 90 Columbus.  Monthly rents currently start at $2,695, with immediate occupancy available. Living spaces feel intimate yet open with high ceilings and oversized windows that take in panoramic views while bathing the homes in natural light.   Fixtures and finishes are thoughtfully crafted with organic materials, and hardwood oak floors double as natural soundproofing. Chef-inspired kitchens are adorned with grey custom cabinetry against white quartz countertops and tile backsplashes, while seamlessly integrating stainless steel appliances.  Spa-inspired baths feature white ceramic tile and dark pewter porcelain tile flooring complemented by Kohler fixtures.
