So I packed the Porsche Design Luggage one recent long weekend and took a “Staycation” to one of this city›s greatest neighborhoods – Battery Park City.  There GW took up a four day residence at the simply chic and exquisite Conrad Hotel all the way down at 102 North End. It was the very same weekend as I unpacked the designer luggage that early evening from the gorgeously chic executive Suite 1436 as GW uncorked the complimentary Veuve Clicquot; the boys a few blocks east on Wall Street had much to celebrate too, having pushed the boundaries of the Dow Jones Industrial to historic, record highs well beyond 16,000.

HOT 97: TALENT AT FEVER PITCH

Pamela Morgan, the chic Fifth Avenue socialite and culinary queen has, for more than three years, been conducting what she calls “Flirting With Flavors,” which one could call “the chicest cooking class imaginable” and which she would call ‘’more than a cooking class, more like a cooking party.” Six times a month she opens her state of the art kitchen to six candidates who want to upgrade their culinary skills.  What is coolest about this culinary excursion is the fact that it has been attracting a wide range of bankers, industrialists and highly successful men about town who have come to realize that learning how to cook and prepare a meal is one of the classiest investments a man can adapt to impress a suitor or two.

Looking dapper in a suit, striped shirt and scarf draped around his neck, Rod Stewart was spotted at the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South in between tour dates. The ageless rocker was accompanied by an entourage that included two men and two ladies. The guys drank beer as Rod and the ladies sipped white wine. As the group walked out of the bar, Rod took time to pose for a photo with a little boy……….
