On Thursday, March 17, DIFFA Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS held their highly anticipated annual Cocktails by Design cocktail party to raise funds toward HIV prevention, education and direct care. Held during the annual Architectural Digest Design Show at Pier 92 this celebration showcases the power of design and creativity with whimsical and fantastical dining vignettes created as a source of innovation inspiring the imagination.
The 2016 edition will feature elaborate tablescapes from a mix of popular shops including Crate and Barrel; Arteriors; Design Within Reach, designed by ICRAVE; and 1stDibs, as well as leading brands such as Ralph Lauren Home, Marc Blackwell andEcho. Combining the crème de la crème, it will also showcase the industry’s collaborative spirit with incredible installations by: Interior Design Magazine with Ali Tayar, The New York Times, designed by Lladro and Darrin Varden Design; Benjamin Moore & Cosentino; Baccarat for Manhattan magazine; Henredon, designed by Mark D. Sikes; Rockwell Group + Knoll; LAB at Rockwell Group & Roche Bobois; New York Design Center, designed by Antonino Buzzetta; Gensler + 3form + Herman Miller; Gaggenau, designed by Paris Forino; and Sunbrella, designed by Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design to name a few. Guests were also treated to a sampling of offerings from NYC’s top restaurants such as North Square Restaurant, STK, Davios, Lady M Confections, Murray’s Cheese, Atlantic Grill Lincoln Center, Strip House, Indochine, HERNÁN and Raymi while enjoying Patrón Tequila specialty cocktails and beer from Brooklyn Brewery.
