Pre-trip planning takes organization. How often have you burned the midnight oil at work to make sure no loose ends are left for your colleagues before venturing off in vacation bliss? Laundry done and dry cleaning picked up, check. Dog and babysitter scheduled, check. Manicure or pedicure, maybe? For the 90% of the population that does not have their own personal assistant, any pampering before heading on a flight is often completed last minute, if at all.

The Terminal Getaway Spa is the brainchild of Chicago-based entrepreneur Marko Iglendza. The spa is designed with the traveler in mind, with locations in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in Terminals 1, 3 and the H/K Corridor. Charlotte-Douglas and Orlando Airports each have one location.

Rather than scheduling a spa appointment prior to heading to the airport – why not utilize your wait time efficiently and walk-in for a service. Terminal Getaway Spa offers has an authentic spa-like atmosphere with the use of subdued natural colors and soft lighting that induce relaxation, even in the busiest terminals. Chicago-based firm James Thomas designed the inviting décor, with the floor layout by Michele Pelafas Inc, a leading design firm in the spa, beauty and medical spa industry.

Unlike the overpriced water sold in airport terminals, the spa treatments offered will not break the bank either; guests can choose from a variety of treatments such as a “Last Minute” manicure ($25) in 20 minutes flat, or a “Time on Your Hands” deluxe version ($45) for 35 minutes. The “Jet Lag” foot  & leg treatment is perfect for increasing circulation after or before a long flight ($5) for 20 minutes. Have more time to spare? Head to a private treatment room for a 90-minute “Bod Voyage” deep tissue massage ($195).

With 5 convenient locations to choose from (with more on the way), why waste precious time trying to fit all your pre-trip appointments? Get jet set at the Terminal Getaway Spa!
