Kitchen Cabinets Last Longer than Marriages

Kitchen Cabinets Last Longer than Marriages

By Jonathan Baron, ASID

According the US Department of Labor Statistics study, many changes in the last half century have affected marriage and divorce rates. About 85 percent married by age 46, and among those who married, a sizeable fraction, almost 30 percent, married more than once. Approximately 42 percent of marriages that took place between ages 15 and 46 ended in divorce by age 46. Women are more likely to marry and to remarry than were men. In addition, marriages of women were more likely to end in divorce, as were marriages that began at younger ages. On average, women married at younger ages than men. According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the average kitchen lasts 50 years. These are few examples for kitchens that may last longer than your marriage.

Carre'-2-FG
The technical, particularly elaborate processing of the elegant CARRÉ-2-FG | CARRÉ-2-LG frame fronts ensures perfect lacquered surfaces with an even, high degree of shine: insets and frame are processed separately and are only put together once they have been lacquered and polished. Another choice in the LEICHT Collection 2015.

Tocco
Leicht has the latest technology behind it's cupboard fronts. The swing-out shelves in the tall cabinet units can be pulled out completely with one movement. This provides an instant view and access to all stored goods. The attractive interior arrangement enhances the true quality of the kitchen.

Leicht Concrete 1
The manufacture of a CONCRETE 1 demands much know-how and craftsman's skill. Fine concrete is manually applied with a spatula to a lacquered MDF -panel. This produces an authentic, unique surface appearance with subtly changing spatula textures. Differently refracted light further brings the front to life. A matt lacquer seal makes the front very durable and gives it a silky feel. Three mélange-like iridescent colors contribute to the wide design range in the LEICHT Collection 2015. There is a choice of a light color (Manhattan), a darker color (Brasilia) and a rusty tinted grey (le Havre).
