Naughty by Nature Wows Guests at the 9th Annual Resolve Gala

On Thursday, October 11^th, The Resolution Project hosted its 9th Annual Resolve Gala at the Harvard Club of New York City, celebrating ten years of supporting college-age social entrepreneurs as they create meaningful impact around the world.  An attractive young professional crowd donned their best and rocked out to a riveting 90s throwback performance by Naughty by Nature.

Each year, the Resolve Gala recognizes the tireless work of Resolution Fellows working across sustainable development, education, energy and environment, equality, health, and humanitarian relief sectors. The gala this year was a particularly meaningful one, as benefactors and supporters of the organization came together to celebrate the rapid expansion the organization has seen over its ten years in operation. Resolution Fellows now work in more than 75 countries and all across the United States, and have helped over 1.5 million people and counting through their impactful ventures. Resolution's World of Sustainability exhibit was a highlight of the evening, showcasing seven social ventures through interactive installations ranging from portable, earthquake-resistant school structures, to a creative display of the clothing design skills taught to socially marginalized women in Greece, to renewable energy education in the United States.

"The incredible work being done by Resolution Fellows and by our broader community provides an inspiring testimony to the power young people have to create lifelong impact starting today."

After the remarks, Grammy Award-winning American hip hop trio Naughty By Nature took to the stage, with special appearances by Dres from Black Sheep and world-class beatboxer Rahzel, for a high-energy set, which included performances of their smash hits, Hip Hop Hooray, Jamboree, Feel Me Flow, and O.P.P. The evening brought together VIPs, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and business leaders to raise proceeds that will go directly toward supporting Resolution Fellows and their ventures. Attendees also enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, and a live and silent auction.

DJ Stiletto (Mari Malek) provided music throughout the evening and hosts and guests supporting the event included Rahzel (musician); Candice Kumai (author and chef); Vanessa Grellet (finance and technology executive); Kathrin Werderitsch (model); Amanda Cole (fashion executive); Travis Montaque (entrepreneur); Stephanie Landess (auctioneer), and more.

About The Resolution Project
