How do you feel when you don’t get a good night’s sleep? Lack of sleep can take a toll on your health and overall wellbeing—our pets are no different!
If you have a pet, you know how integral your pet’s happiness is to yours. My family has an English Bulldog, and I know from experience that he loves his long slumbers—sleeping many hours at night and periodically retreating to his second bed in our living room throughout the day, whether it is after a meal or playtime. Studies show that most pets spend roughly half to two thirds of the day sleeping. Dogs crave not only an area to rest, but also the sense of protection that a comfortable bed provides. A bed for your pet needs to be chosen based on its sleeping preferences. Your dog may like to cuddle up or rest his head on something—requiring a pillow or something bolstered.
As we start to favor fresher and cleaner ingredients in our food and more wholesome fabrics in our clothing, it is only natural to extend the same treatment to our favorite animal friends.
It should come as no surprise that I am excited about Paws N’ Silk’s products. They are all-natural and chemical-free—in fact, the first all-natural and all-season pet bedding on the market. The bedding is made up of 100% cotton outer shell and 100% natural silk inner fill. While the products are good for pets in general, pets suffering from skin irritation, hot spots and circulation issues can benefit especially from the products.
A good night’s sleep combined with regular exercise can significantly impact your pet’s overall health. Currently, your pet’s bedding could contain millions of dust mites, mold and mildew. Eliminating these toxins can soothe a pet’s allergies. There are five types of allergies that can ail a dog: inhalant, contact, flea, bacterial, and food. An easily washable and breathable bedding can assuage any allergies your pet may have as well as prevent additional allergies—allowing both you and your pet to lead more healthful lives.
Sometimes we forget to consider the seemingly small things that can make a difference in our pets’ lives and, essentially, our lives. I urge you to try out Paws n’ Silk’s products and see the difference that they can make! •
