Shooting to fame in a flash, Violett Beane is best known for her role as Jesse Quick in The CW series “The Flash.” While the television centers on Grant Gustin who portrays Flash/Barry Allen, Beane joined the series in its second season. As the daughter of Earth 2, Harrison Wells played by Tom Cavanagh, Beane is excited at the prospect of turning into a full superhero in the series’ third season.

A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Beanne moved to Austin, Texas at the age of 10. Uncovering her passion for performing arts during her middle school years, Beane knew she had a knack for performing. However, it was not until her final year of high school that she finally turned her focus to Hollywood. Beane went onto book a recurring role on HBO series, “The Leftovers.” In season 2, Beane portrayed Taylor Truitt, a character hailing from Jarden, Texas, who goes missing along with two other girls. Garnering attention from her role as Jesse Quick, Beane’s film career has also been gaining traction. Two of Beane’s film premiered at the 2016 South By Southwest Film Festival. “Slash,” an indie comedy along with “Tower,” a movie centered on the UT shooting in 1966.

Beane plays Claire Wilson, who was eight months pregnant during the shooting but loses her baby and boyfriend because of the tragedy. While the movie made its premiere at the festival, “Tower,” produced by Luke Wilson and Meredith Viera was released nationwide in October 2016. While Beane may be known for portraying a happy-go-lucky superhero on “The Flash,” the talented actress has carved a niche out in dramatic acting.

An already impressive resume for a 19-year old actress, Beane can now add director to her title. The budding actress recently directed, edited and starred in “Landscape,” a music video for the band Eyelid Kid. While her acting career keeps her occupied, Beane spends her free time lending her voice to raising awareness on rape violence, gun control and abortion rights. In her down time, the animal lover enjoys cuddling with her bunny Milo while binge watching “Fixer Upper,” which inspires her to do DIY renovations of her home.
