SUITES FOR SWEETHEARTS ON VALENTINE’S DAY

Seeking a romantic adventure under the sun to escape the winter months? Look no further than San Ignacio Resort Hotel in Belize, the only San Ignacio property located within town limits that also boasts jungle views.  The hotel offers guests luxury accommodations in a 26-room property with one and two bedroom suites with private balconies boasting views of the 17-acre jungle estate. Each suite is designed with local art and furnishings made from well-crafted Belizean hardwood and sustainable mahogany. Guests staying at one of the lavish suites will also receive complimentary butler service, daily breakfast, tickets to visit the Green Iguana Conservation Project, and a guided trek along their Medicinal Trails.

The San Ignacio area is a prime location for experiencing adventure activities and Mayan Temples and is only about a two-hour drive to the famous Tikal Ruins in Guatemala. Each tour can be organized through San Ignacio Resort Hotel and Cruz Cambranes will be your expert tour guide.

Jungle Ziplining and Cavetubing

Gear up for an exhilarating experience through the rainforest as you travel on cables from tree to tree for 45 minutes. Throughout this journey, you'll get acquainted with some of Belize's tropical trees and get aerial views of your natural surroundings. Next, start your tubing expedition with a 30-minute trail walk along the riverside until you reach beautiful turquoise waters. Strap on your gear, and gently float downstream into a cave where your guide will tell you all about Maya history and cave features including giant rock formations and cave conversions.

Climb a Maya Temple

Hike up to Xunantunich and Cahal Pech Maya Temples imagining what life was like hundreds of years ago.  You can listen to the San Ignacio Resort Hotel expert tour guide Cruz as he educates you on Mayan cultures and traditions. From the top of the tallest ruin, El Castillo you can see all the way to Guatemala. The Xunantunich and Cahal Pech temples are two very popular sites amongst archaeologists and you will still find them excavating today during certain times of the year.

Horseback Ride in Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve

In this 300-square mile forest reserve you will find a scenic combination of cool pine forest, tumbling waterfalls, lush river valleys, and numerous cave formations. Experiences here include exploration of the Rio Frio Cave, Rio on Pools, Big Rock Falls, and the breathtaking Hidden Valley Falls—a narrow chute of water falling over 1,000 feet.

Romantic Evenings

After a day of adventure, return back and enjoy an in-suite Couple's Massage.  Re-energize, relax and linger in your private jacuzzi on the balcony with a glass of champagne and watch the stars come out over the jungle. Live music can be enjoyed on the patio of Running W Steakhouse & Restaurant where local singers and bands will serenade you as you enjoy a rainforest cocktail (secret recipe) or Purple Parrot (Blue curaçao, vodka, pineapple and grenadine).  Dinner at Running W Steakhouse & Restaurant includes great cuts such as the black angus rib eye or the 21-day aged Running W Brand Meats premium NY strip and appetizers including the Lebanese sample platter of lamb kebab, vegetables, pita bread and the family's own hummus recipe.

Starting prices for the suites are as follows from December 1 to April 30, 2018: Honeymoon Suite:$445, Master Suite:$560, Royal Suite:$660

All rates are in US dollars and subject to 9% room tax and 10% service charge.  This deal is available for the Resort' premium suites and includes an on-site tour of the award-winning Green Iguana Conservation, Medicinal Trail, and daily breakfast at Belize's Restaurant of the Year, Running W Steakhouse & Restaurant.
