Twice as Nice

Whether its on Fifth Avenue by the library or downtown on Wall Street, dining at the Andaz is always a welcome respite for tourists and locals alike looking for a quintessential New York experience.

The Shop at the Andaz 5th Avenue is an intimate yet modern eatery featuring the talented new executive chef Michael Santoro who has brought his culinary expertise culled from 10 years at working in some of the top Michelin Star restaurants around the world including NYC's Bouqueria and Restaurant Daniel. His signature culinary style is an elevated farm to table concept focusing on sourcing locally and crafting his menu around seasonal ingredients with a strong focus on unique pairings to produce delicious dishes bursting with flavor. Santoro's culinary showmanship is a focal point in the open air kitchen that is seamlessly integrated into the airy dining room. Highlights of the menu include the chestnut soup with a toasted porcini meringue, caramelized scallops with a pumpkin butter, heritage pork ragout with egg tagliatelle and parmesan, venison burger with braised short rib, confit lamb shoulder with harissa over polenta, and sunchoke milanese with broccoli rabe and pickled date. Equally as impressive is their craft cocktail menu featuring seasonal pre prohibition style cocktails served upstairs and also downstairs in the speakeasy style lounge.

Dina Rata is Wall Street's newest lounge and dining destination at the Andaz Wall Street. Opening up onto the iconic Pearl Street, its the perfect spot to grab a post work drink or dine on contemporary American bistro fare. The menu is inspired by the many fresh and seasonal provisions sourced from the Hudson Valley and divided into small and large bites that were meant to be shared over their creative cocktails. Rich and tasty small plates include creamy artichoke spinach fondue, oven roasted sriracha laced shrimp, lobster aoili salad, or a plate of Hudson Valley cheeses and charcuterie. Large plates are best enjoyed family style with luxe comfort food classics like 3 cheese mac n cheese with bacon, cremini mushrooms and truffle; pomegranate glazed short ribs; and a high roller burger with foie gras and Applewood smoked bacon. Save room for a sweet bite with indulgent offerings such as a maple pot de creme, milk & honey panna cotta, or the road to richness, which is befitting of a Wall Street locale.
