If you are planning to eat at Food Network's Iron Chef of America Jose Garces' restaurant Volvér, make sure it's on a cheat day. Chef Garces is creating a culinary experience that will make your taste buds yearn for another bite. Located in Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Volvér is the perfect restaurant for a pre-show meal or post-show refreshments and snacks. Only opened five days a week, from Tuesday through Saturday, Volvér offers a variety of unique menus designated for specific days and times of the year.

Volvér offers a menu of flavors and cuisines from all over the world which changes with the seasons. The casual yet elegant restaurant has an open kitchen, allowing guests to get a sneak peek of the chefs creating the exquisite food. There is a bar area that has a more relaxed atmosphere, as well as the main dining room which is suitable for a more intimate dining experience. The restaurant has a fully stocked bar with seasonal cocktails and over 30 wines by the glass and more than 50 different vintages. Patrons of the arts can enjoy a three-course meal from a select pre-theater menu designed to conclude in time for the show.  Dining with young children before going to see a show? Volvér also has a children's pre-theater menu as well.  Theatergoers are also welcome to come and enjoy post-theater cocktails, as well as  small plates and snacks from the dinner menu.

Chef Garces also offers an à la carte dinner menu that includes small plates and snacks, such as lamb sliders with red onion marmalade, harissa aioli, and sheep's milk feta or shrimp toast, made with sesame, scallion and Karashi mayo.

Volvér is best known for its 12-course tasting menu, which is only offered three days a week: Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the main dining room. Only $125 a person, guests can choose to add an optional wine pairing to their 12-course meal for an additional $100. Patrons are advised to set aside at least two hours for this fine dining experience. The 12-course tasting menu, including four dessert courses, is a culinary journey that everyone in your party will enjoy.

The dining room can accommodate 34 guests, making it imperative to book a table in advance. Walk-ins are not very common in the central dining area; however, one can easily walk-in at Bar Volvér.
