As Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, here are ways to enjoy our glorious city over the long weekend, as the weather forecast calls for clear skies and summer weather. Besides who wants to deal with a 3+ hour drive to the Hamptons anyways.

Enjoy Rooftop Views

PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown will officially take the top off the roof lounge just in time for the summer season.  Located on the 15th and 16th floor of the hotel, this bi-level rooftop boasts over 1,500-square-feet of outdoor space and is open seven days a week starting at 5:00pm Sunday through Tuesday, and 4:00PM Wednesday through Saturday.  Summer beverage selections range from refreshing cocktails to large format pitchers and small bites, perfect for small groups and summer entertaining, or a quick happy hour after work.

PH Lounge Interior

Debuting the week of May 16th, PHD Rooftop Lounge at Dream Downtown will open the outdoor garden with uninterrupted views of the Hudson River and Empire State Building, bespoke cocktails and delectable small bites prepared by Chef Mike Armstrong.

Take a Dip in a Pool

An unconventional downtown oasis, The Beach consists of a 5,000 sq ft deck with 800 sq ft of imported sand, Cote D’Azur-inspired chaise lounges, two private cabanas with flat-screen televisions, a DJ booth, and a partially translucent glass-bottom swimming pool looking into the hotel lobby. Evoking that Miami feel of a day in the sun, the bar and grill will offer a variety of flavorful and refreshing cocktails, as well as light bites from a seasonally evolving menu.
