Looking dapper in a suit, striped shirt and scarf draped around his neck, Rod Stewart was spotted at the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South in between tour dates. The ageless rocker was accompanied by an entourage that included two men and two ladies. The guys drank beer as Rod and the ladies sipped white wine. As the group walked out of the bar, Rod took time to pose for a photo with a little boy……….


Rumor has it that Bronx born Jennifer Lopez and Mario Lopez, not related,  are gearing up to be the heads of NUVO tv, the first and only English-language television network created for U.S. Latinos. Mario breezed into the Big Apple recently to host the Walter Kaitz 30th Anniversary Dinner, which was sponsored by NUVO. Held at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, The Kaitz Dinner is one of the largest gatherings in the cable industry that honors diversity leaders in programming. Mario hosts his own show, «Mario Lopez: One-on-One» on NUVO. Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson performed for the dinner guests, and an after-party immediately followed sponsored by TV One that featured Chaka Khan………

Deals keep coming and coming for Jay-Z. The rap mogul’s most recent business conquest is a holiday collaboration with Barney›s. He has partnered with the luxury retail store for their annual holiday collection of limited-edition apparel and accessories. Called BNY SCC Gallery, which stands for Barneys New York Shawn Corey Carter, the collection will include themed window decorations, ads and a huge soiree. Everything will feature special-edition merchandise from couture designers like Lanvin, Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler. Featured in Barneys stores in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago, the campaign launches on November 20………..

Although tongues are wagging that her reception by the audience on The View has been rather chilly, Jenny McCarthy hit New York City with a bang for her new job. One of her first stops was the McDonalds Mighty Wings Launch party in midtown Manhattan to celebrate the lauch of McDonalds› new Mighty Wings. McCarthy was joined by athletes, celebrities and party goers who included Eve, Erik Estrada, Melissa and Joe Gorga and the Knicks› Metta World Peace as they sampled the new Mighty Wings, adding some spice to the NFL season…….

Celebrities, media personalities such as Today Show contributor Jill Martin, sports legends, corporate leaders and more joined former NFL Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti, his son Marc and Event Chair Mark Dalton as they hosted a sold out crowd in celebration of the 25th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner. Held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the dinner paid tribiute to philanthropic heroes and sports icons that inspire and motivate those affected by spinal injuries. Billionaire philanthropist Stewart Rahr donated $2.2 million to fund chronically injured patients in The Miami Projects next clinical trial. Hosted by NBC Sports anchor, Bob Costas, this year›s Great Sports Legends were Terry Bradshaw, James Worthy, Dave Winfield, Nick Faldo, Shawn Johnson, Gary Stevens, Antron Brown and Teresa Edwards……. •
