Designer Shoe Queen /Socialite Tamara Mellon has put her Upper East Side Mansion in the Sky on East 95th Street up for sale. According to Curbed NY, the Jimmy Choo co-founder has listed the penthouse for $34 million. Mellon bought the place from Edgar Bronfman Jr. in 2008 for $21 million. Sources say she wants to vacate the sedate Upper East Side for a tonier “downtown vibe.” The luxury pad boasts five bedrooms, four wood-burning fireplaces, a solarium, a 13-by-23-foot walk-in closet/dressing room which houses her one-of-a-kind “built-in shoe racks and frosted windows at the top.”…

Cadillac drove into New York City as a premier sponsor for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) and took the town by storm. The luxury car company hosted a group of media from around the country. The film “Cru” swept the Festival’s Awards presentation, not only tying for Best Picture, but also winning Best Director, which was presented by GM Diversity Executive Jocelyn K. Allen, along with a $5,000 check to director Alton Glass, Best Actor Keith Robinson and Best Screenplay. Aside from Robinson, “Cru’s” stars include Richard T. Jones and Melissa De Sousa. Harlem Week kicked off its 40th anniversary with a special awards ceremony saluting acclaimed actress Audra McDonald, six-time Tony award winning star of “Lady Day at Emerson’s Grill,” Apple Bank for Saving and New York Amsterdam News at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
