Sofia Crokos Wedding Planner & Event Stylist

Sofia Crokos has planned the weddings of both Robert Downey Jr. and Marc Anthony to Dayanara Torres. Over the last 16 years Sofia has become one of the international sets go-to planners for high-end events both in New York, the Hamptons and Europe. She has a formidable list of socialites, business leaders and celebrities as clients including hedge fund mogul Daniel Loeb, designer Betsy Johnson, Ann and Andrew Tisch, and NBA star Landry Fields.

Growing up in a Greek-American home, entertaining guests was a tradition in Sofia Crokos' family. During her parents' social gatherings, Sofia was tasked with perfecting the finer details of their events. Over time Sofia has never lost sight of why she first got into the event planning business stating, "It's always about creating magical moments and stories for my clients."

Sofia was "thrown right into the fire" with no formal training before she planned her first nuptials. She created a beautiful tented wedding in Bedford, NY before even knowing what a "tented wedding" entailed. This wife and event stylist is a great listener and utilizes this talent to familiarize herself with her client's dreams. "Weddings are something that all women believe is once or maybe twice in a lifetime," laughs Crokos. "It's become something so personal and so emotional that you become their therapist in many ways." Sofia doesn't just look at her events as just parties; they become new chapters in her story, as well as chapters in the lives of her clients.

Although Sofia has the capability to plan a wide variety of events from charitable galas to movie premieres to product launches, weddings are the foundation of Sofia's business. "Weddings are my bread and butter," Crokos proclaims, "but every event is a celebration so they are all important me."

"I think about the future but I don't stress about it anymore," says the event planner and wife when asked about her future plans. Her main objective is to keep creating timeless moments for her clients and to continue growing her team. She also plans to publish her first book, which will be an entertainment book shot around the world. She will also layer in creative topics she is passionate about.

"I believe I'm blessed because I tend to attract really good clients," Sofia admits. "They have the same energy as me." When asked about lessons she's learned through event planning, Crokos says, "You're only as good as your last job. Stay grounded, real and humble, and always put your best foot forward." Sofia has already implemented these rules in all aspects of her own life as she continues to grow her business into the global powerhouse it's destined to be.
