URBO – Broadway’s Hottest New Hit

Everyone likes dinner and a show, but Times Square's hot new restaurant URBO takes this classic combo and adds chic and urban twists, while maintaining a spectacular menu. Located in the Theater District, URBO boasts a beautiful interior with two and a half levels, each with something different to offer.

The first floor–URBO Kitchen–is a cavernous, decadent space polished with reclaimed wood, high ceilings, cement wall-coverings, and three open kitchens. The kitchens offer seasonal menus serving New York culture-inspired cuisine, and each station has an elemental theme: Earth specializes in locally and organically grown products, Water provides dishes prepared in water itself (poached or steamed), and Fire has a Beech Oven grill that adds a special smoky edge. The first floor is also home to a unique, in-house water filtration system with three different kinds of water for the restaurant. Built by Rosenwatch Tanks, one of New York's two surviving manufacturers of traditional wooden tanks, it stands as a symbol of New York City.

If you don't want a full sit-down meal, but still wish to enjoy URBO's enticing atmosphere, just visit URBO Grind, the restaurant's in-house coffee shop. Stocked with Blue Bottle coffee for your caffeine fix, Belloc for tea drinkers, and house made pastries, there is something for everyone.

The second level–Bar URBO–features both delicious drink concoctions and highly-ranking entertainment. Take the cylindrical glass elevator or spiral staircase to the cocktail oasis, complete with a 35-foot-long bar and plush lounge area illuminated by theatrical, festoon lighting. But what truly sets Bar UBRO apart is the free musical entertainment from your favorite Broadway singers in a fun and intimate setting. Bar URBO hosts ™Lights Out on Broadway∫ for free every Monday night, starting at 8:00pm. The event is produced by Derrick Davis and Chondra Profit, both of whom you may recognize from the playbill of ™The Lion King∫ on Broadway, and promises to be both star-studded and one of the most exciting up-and-coming events in the Theater District and Broadway community. But that's not all; Bar URBO also offers a variety of events ranging from jazz to comedy, ensuring that there is something for everyone.

The innovative cocktail menu has everything from the time-tested classics like an Old McIntyre or a Bourbon Highball, to new creations like the Royal Treatment–made with absinthe, rye, pineapple, and lemon bitters. Served alongside their tasty, finger-food bar menu and their unbeatable entertainment offerings, this bar is hard to beat.

URBO also caters to large events in a glass-enclosed solarium replete with a wooden pergola, lush greenery, and an ultra-modern chandelier: URBO Loft. Designed for private events and private dining of any size, the greenhouse-type space conveys the feel of a New York rooftop garden without the possibility of rain or foul weather.

With all the different venues and offerings, URBO cultivates a truly unforgettable experience. With its New York City authenticity and unparalleled entertainment offerings, URBO stands out as the next biggest hit on Broadway.
