Taking Luxurious Galapagos Cruising to the Next Level

By Pamela Jacobs

There are few things that get me more excited than exotic travel. I dream of incredible destinations and bucket-list-worthy adventures. When the level of luxury matches the exoticism of the locale, I practically swoon.

That’s why I’m a bit over-the-moon about the upcoming unveiling of Ecoventura’s newest, most luxurious vessel, MV Origin, set to make its debut journey through the Galapagos Islands this January 2016.

As it is, Ecoventura is truly one-of-a-kind in the world of travel. As an award-winning adventure cruise leader in sustainable travel, Ecoventura brings expeditioners up close and personal to the untouched Galapagos Islands on its fleet of eco-friendly yachts. With two unique seven-night itineraries—on which they expertly match travelers together, i.e. families on one itinerary, couples on another—Ecoventura allows for the closest, most personal observation and interaction with the stunning array of wildlife in this incredible region. Imagine snorkeling with penguins in the morning, and sunbathing with sea lions in the afternoon.

The MV Origin is now taking luxury cruising in the Galapagos to a whole new level; it will be the only vessel of its kind. Guests on the 20-passenger mega-yacht will enjoy locally-inspired gourmet cuisine, a Jacuzzi and fitness center, expansive indoor and outdoor social and observation areas, luxury staterooms with panoramic windows, and excursions that include snorkeling and kayaking with the ship’s naturalists and intimate tours of the Galapagos National Park. Elegant onboard spaces and delicious gourmet meals await after a day of befriending blue-footed boobies, baby sea lions, and giant land tortoises. You might even spot an orca whale or two.

I was dreaming of an Ecoventura adventure before the announcement of the upcoming MV Origin, but with what Santiago Dunn, Executive President of Ecoventura calls “an even more intimate and superior guest experience,” I’m already packing my bags.  If you’re looking for me this January, I’ll be hanging out with this little guy:
