It’s a busy time for Daniel Craig. In addition to starring in the upcoming Spectre—the 24th Bond film—Craig will be playing the role Iago in New York Theater Workshop’s off-Broadway production of Othello. He’ll be speaking at the New School’s The Auditorium at West 12th Street on November 4, along with Sam Mendes, for a TimesTalks interview.
On November 10, at the Crosby Hotel in SoHo, the movie Shelter will hold its New York premiere. In attendance will be Jennifer Connelly, her husband, actor Paul Bettany, and Anthony Mackie, among other members of the cast.
On November 12, at Cipriani 42nd Street, Stephen Colbert will appear as a special guest at IAVA’s 9th Annual Heroes Gala, an event which honors those who are dedicated to serving the veterans community.
Following the Humane Society’s To the Rescue! New York Gala: Saving Animal Lives on November 13 at Cipriani 42nd Street, where she will be among the honorees, Angelica Huston will be at the event’s ticketed after party—9:30 PM at City Winery.
On November 17, the Plaza hotel will host Save the Children’s 3rd Annual Illumination Gala. Jennifer Garner, a Save the Children trustee, will host the event. Activist Olivia Wilde will be honored, and country music star Brad Paisley will perform for attendees.
The latest Hunger Games installment, Mockingjay – Part 2, will hold its New York premiere on November 18. Stars expected to be in attendance include Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, and Woody Harrelson. The film opens in theaters nationwide on November 20.
