BROWNELL LAUNCHES “SOJOURNS BY BROWNELL”

Working remotely has taken on a whole new meaning as digital nomads shed their cubicles and broaden their horizons. Brownell, a travel industry powerhouse with over 130 years of experience, has created Sojourns, thecrème-de-la-crème study abroad program for adults.  Sojourns are 3-month experiences that allow travelers the opportunity to "live, work, play" in some of the world's most culturally rich and exciting destinations without disrupting their professional schedule.

Participants will have one goal in common – to experience life in another country without giving up their career goals. Applicants from worldwide destinations and various industries will be provided private living accommodations, 24/7 workspace arrangements with wifi, transportation between cities, and a prearranged activity every week that focuses on exploring each destination.  You will be with others who share your love of travel, have authentic experiences in each city, and have on-the-ground contacts to assist you along the way.

Brownell's first Sojourn will unfold in South America with one month each in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile beginning February 2018. The group will be hosted by one of the most exceptional young travel advisors, and the lead product developer, Amanda Foshee.

Foshee was inspired to develop Sojourns after living and working remotely in France with her husband. She sought to address the challenges they faced: access to reliable high-speed Internet and secure workspaces, affordable yet upscale and centrally located private housing, and a community of peers.

"We cater to explorers who want the same creature comforts they have at home – well-appointed, private accommodations. They also want to be among a community of other travelers that they can relate to and share experiences with."

Sojourns, powered by Brownell, the oldest travel firm in North America, has designed this program with the experience, exclusive access, and insider knowledge that only comes with 130+ years in the travel business.  They differ from their competition as they offer truly private accommodations – no shared bathrooms, personal living space, or kitchen facilities. They include more activities than anyone else, and these activities are more sophisticated than the usual tourist fare. They also have added benefits such as a host that travels with you, travel insurance in case any emergencies arise, and 24/7 support in the US and the destination. This long-term travel program will cater strictly to upscale travelers.

Brownell President and CEO, Troy Haas, shares: "Sojourns have appeal to a fantastic cross-section of travelers including professionals who were inspired by their time studying abroad and telecommuters from the technology, research, and finance industries.  Sojourns cater to young couples and empty nesters that are wrapping up their careers or are in consulting positions"
