The Institute of International Bankers CEO, Sarah "Sally" Miller and TD Bank Power of Women Business Resources Group (BRG) were honored by Girls Inc. of New York City at the landmark Metropolitan Club. Famed comedienne, Caroline Rhea served as Mistress of Ceremonies; the event was co- chaired by Courtney Adante and Amber Tolliver. The luncheon included a standout performance by Julie Reiber from Broadway's newest hit musical, Come From Away.

Guests included R&B Grammy Superstar Maxwell, celebrated actress JoBeth Williams, John Colas (Partner, Oliver Wyman), Cecile Gaume (Chanel), Andie Kully (Andie Kully Design), Arlene Isaacs (President, Moody's Foundation),  Christine Modafferi (TD Bank), Susan Tuccillo (SVP, Head of Compliance, Nordea Bank AB), Jennifer Warren (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) Simon Winn & Peter Philbrick (BNP Paribas), representatives from the banking elite, Arab Bank USA, Barclays, HSBC Bank, Nomura, S&P Global, TD Ameritrade, TD Securities, Girls Inc. New York Executive Director – Pam Marlado and joined by board members – Courtney Adante, Jasmine Barr, Sydney Izen, Maria Jelescu, Elaine Ball, Terri Austin, Angie Karna, Camille Mantelin, Anne Goodbody, Stacy Gordon, and Daphnee Surpris.

The program included lunch for over 250 guests, the presentation of the 2017 awards to The Institute of International Banker's CEO, Sarah "Sally" Miller and Christine Modafferi on behalf of TD Bank Power of Women Business Resources Group (BRG). The event also celebrated the achievements of young women citywide, including Vianca Grullon and Corrine Scruggs, who are testaments to the success of Girls Inc. Their impassioned speeches were followed by a live auction.

The auction included 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' package donated by the famed jewelry retailer for five people, a set of tickets to a taping of Katie Lee's show, 'The Kitchen' as well as backstage passes to meet the celebrity chef, an exclusive one day internship with New York-based Hollywood director and producer, Doug Liman, and a sets of VIP tickets to a live taping of the Conan O'Brien show in Los Angeles along with a personalized autographed Conan head shot, two sets of show tickets and backstage passes to the coveted musical 'Come From Away', a set of tickets to the BET Awards in Los Angeles along with a stylist for the event, two roundtrip seats on a Tradewinds Aviation chartered flight to select destinations in the US and Caribbean, and individual year sponsorships of Girls Inc. girls. Favors were provided by Caudalie. The event raised over $400,000 that will help further the organization's mission to advocate for and improve the lives of under-served girls aged 6-18 throughout New York City.
