On June 7, Sebago hosted a Summer Soirée at their showroom terrace in Midtown to celebrate the current Spring/Summer 2017 range and give a first look at what’s coming next for Fall/Winter 2017.
The current Spring line launches Sebago’s new LITESIDES collection (30% lighter than the iconic DOCKSIDES boat shoe silhouette), updated HANDSEWN penny loafers (a staple for the brand for the last 70 years), and the new CYPHON sailing performance series with C3 Cross Channel Circulation technology for superior breathability and dry-out time. The women’s line includes updates to the BALA shoe including three new Liberty Art Fabrics and the new BALA ARIAPRENE (a breathable water-friendly version of neoprene), a new line of sandals featuring cross-strap metallics and nautical colorways and the iconic DOCKSIDES boat shoe in the same three Liberty prints.

For Fall 2017, the men’s line will introduce the CLASSIC penny loafer in new color ways like black and brown embossed leather, the LEGACY in hot new colors like emerald green, and the newly added LEGACY BIT. The DRYSIDES collection will offer the TURNER CHELSEA boot in a waterproof suede, and the SMYTH collection will expand with a Wing Tip, Chukka and Plain Toe option and the same 30 Day Comfort Guarantee. The women’s PLAZA collection will expand to include ankle, chelsea, and tall boot versions, and the season will launch the LANEY collection which includes a bootie and lace up option with faux bunny fur for added detail.
Guests at the rooftop event were treated to tacos & margaritas by Tacombi, a mix of summer ales, and custom Sebago popsicles by People’s Pops in fun flavors like strawberry rhubarb, blackberry pear ginger, and frozen hot chocolate with coconut milk.
