BEACH POLO IS BACK AT SOUTH BEACH

RETURNING TO SOUTH BEACH WITH AN ELEVATED TOUCH OF CLASS

Beach Polo World Cup, the world's largest Beach Polo tournament, made its official return to the sands of South Beach earlier this month.  The four-day event was bigger and better than ever, with a brand-new layout along with some of the best players for the 2018 edition.

The weekend was filled with three amazing days of polo matches that commenced on Friday morning. Over 10,000 people attended the 4-day event including notables such as Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary and Daymond John, Sex and the City writer Candace Bushnell, Alexis Stoudemire, Jeremy Shockey and Former Victoria Secret Model , Inés Rivero.

Six teams comprised of some of the world's top players, including Nic Roldan, Ricardo Mansur, Rommy Gianni and Juan Bollini, competed throughout the weekend for Beach Polo World Cup.

The tournament also hosted the Bal Harbour Village Women's Cup on Saturday, featuring the Bal Harbour Village and Peoples From Barbados's women's teams along with a charity match on Sunday supporting Beach Polo's official charity partner, The Bass Museum.

The traditional post-event awards ceremony was held at the end of Sunday's last match to commemorate competition winners. The La Martina team featuring  Riley Ganzi, Juan Bollini and Jesse Bray was the winner of Beach Polo World Cup while Nic Roldan of the Macallan team was

named MVP. 

This year's Beach Polo World Cup was sponsored by W South Beach, David Yurman, La Martina Polo, Karma Automotive, Macallan, Chateau d'Esclan, Bal Harbour Village, Douglas Elliman South Florida, La Croix, People From Barbados, Bruno Magli, Grand Champions Polo Club amongst others.

In conclusion, Melissa Ganzi, Co-Founder of Beach Polo World Cup remarked, "We are excited to be making Beach Polo a premier annual event in South Florida. The turnout well exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait for many more great events in the years to come."

In addition to the matches, Beach Polo World Cup proved itself to be one of Miami's signature lifestyle events.   The delicious gourmet food was well presented all weekend along with endlessly flowing Whispering Angel rose wine from Chateau d'Esclans.

The weekend also included a series of nightly activations such as the The Official Team Presentation at W South Beach Living Room Bar, official kick-off party at Delano South Beach, Bal Harbour Village Women's Cup kick-off, La Martina Fashion Presentation and Macallan tasting at WALL at W South Beach, and Polo Player Nights Out at ORA Miami and WALL Lounge at W South Beach.

To commemorate Beach Polo, La Martina created a limited-edition Beach Polo clothing line that was on sale at the La Martina retail tent on-site throughout the three days of matches and at the La Martina store in Aventura Mall.
