BIBHU MOHAPATRA F/W2018 RUNWAY SHOW

For his FW18 collection, Mohapatra was inspired by, "The works of Francesco Clemente and explores the Dickensian dynamics of love, neglect and love, forgiveness and censure, between Miss Havisham and beautiful Estella from the classic novel Great Expectations."

His elegant designs were unveiled alongside his new capsule collection, titled Sashi by Bibhu. Sashi by Bibhu will be introduced in the upcoming Fall season as a collection that offers dresses and outerwear, along with sporty separates at introductory price points with Bibhu's same standard of quality. Affectionately named for his mother who played an integral part in his path to fashion, art and design, the collection is aimed at a new generation of consumers to his collection.

For embellishments, Mohapatra collaborated once again with Preciosa, the leading producer and global supplier of premium Bohemian crystals, zirconia and nanogems. "It's a true pleasure to see our crystals utilized in such a masterful way," said Tereza Sikulova, Head of Design for Preciosa Components. "Mr. Mohapatra's exquisite embroidery showcased throughout this collection is simultaneously delicate and profound, and a wonderful testament to his insightful ability to incorporate the perfect hint of sparkle into his pieces."

Jewelry was provided by Jensen, from their Lalallae Collection and Forevermark.
