When Paris Meets New York – Montreal was born

As a native Parisian living in New York, I can ensure you that my trip to Montreal was undeniably one of my biggest city crushes! After 18 months away from home I felt so close to this city but not only because most of the natives speak French but because of the richness of it's habitants, as well as the art, history, culinary scene, festivals, culture and nightlife. The hospitality of its inhabitants really makes the difference and you feel so comfortable there that the stress of your daily life just melts away upon your arrival.

Montreal is the biggest town in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located on an Island of the Saint-Laurent's River which has been named after the Mount Royal, the iconic hill  with the three peaks overlooking the city. The «arrondissements» of the city used to be independent cities that are now characterized into different neighborhoods, such as: the French Old-Montreal, Notre-Dame's Basilica, and the bohemian Plateau-Mont-Royal.

Discover the wonderful city of Montreal while staying at the AC Hotel Montreal Centre-Ville, a lifestyle brand from Mariott that reflects a modern decor with a European flair. Perfectly located in the dynamic and vibrant heart of downtown Montreal, the hotel is located only few minutes away from some of the major cultural monuments such as: Montreal's Convention Center, The Quartier des Spectacles, Old-Montreal and more but also in close proximity to some of the best culinary restaurants, boutiques, hidden speakeasies and other exciting scenes to discover.

The AC Hotel Montreal is perfect for both leisure and business travel. This stylish hotel offers 169 very comfortable and oversized guestrooms and suites with unlimited and powerful 24/7 wifi access. The Hotel is perfect and has everything you may need.  There is even an AC Store where guests can find light snacks, essential amenities and refreshments.  The AC lounge is also a communal space where you can meet old and new friends, order a drink and some snacks. The hotel also offers 5,900 square feet of meeting space that can accomodate between 10 to 150 guests depending on the event.

The modern and contemporary atmosphere will leave you speechless. After a long day of meetings and visits in the beautiful city, I enjoyed a relaxing moment in my room with a plush bedding and pillows. Take some time to enjoy the quiet indoor pool located at the 12th floor of the building overlooking the city.

For dinner, head down to La Palma and indulge an exquisite Mediterranean inspired food experience created by talented Chef David Capel that serves an incredible tapas-inspired menu along with very unique cocktails. After a night on the town, enjoy a wonderful European-inspired breakfast at the AC Kitchen, located between the lobby and mezzanine level of the hotel. Enjoy a taste of Europe with the croissants of France and the artisanal La Quercia Prosciutto from Spain.
