Westhouse New York Announces Weekly Cocktail Club At The Den

Gothamites certainly love their happy hour, whether it's the lure of wallet-friendly prices, good company, or simply the need to unwind after a stressful day, nothing brings the Manhattan masses like a post-work cocktail. And with the launch of The Cocktail Club at the Den, Midtown now has a new happy hour destination complete with live music, upscale specialty cocktails, and a can't beat, BOGO (buy one cocktail get one free) deal.

Located onsite at the WestHouse New York, The Cocktail Club is ready to save the neighborhood from watery well drinks and cookie-cutter happy hour offerings. An affordable yet elevated version of our favorite post-work past time, the upscale cocktail lounge will offer live music alongside a specialty cocktail of the month every Wednesday from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm. With a lineup of some of the city's best talent and a carefully curated menu of drinks and monthly featured cocktails, The Cocktail Club at the Den will bring the area's happy hour offerings to the next level.

Playing weekly from 8-10:30 pm will be the Josh Davis Trio, a jazz trio helmed by Davis, who has toured throughout the U.S., Japan, and Europe, playing at such venues as: Carnegie Hall, The Blue Note, Smalls Jazz Club, Symphony Space, The Knitting Factory, and has appeared on MTV, VH1, and Time Out New York.

The cocktails on offer are from mixologist Jason Bodoy, a man who perfected his craft slinging drinks for some of the city's most renowned venues. Drawing upon his experience from tenures at Apotheke, Pulqueria, Demi Monde, and at The James New York-SoHo, Bodoy's specialty drinks for The Cocktail Club each tell a story inspired by music. Made with top-shelf liquors and seasonal, ingredients, each cocktail pairs perfectly with the venue's live soundtrack, amazing company, an upscale atmosphere, and delicious bites, including charcuterie, cheese, and meze platters, gourmet olives, and fresh ceviches. Even better,  In addition to The Den's standard cocktail menu, guests will be able to enjoy the below monthly offerings:

March: Strawberry Fields Forever – Inspired by The Beatles, March brings sweet melodies of strawberry, Absolut Elyx, and lemon, all topped off with egg whites and the sweet, licorice aroma of tarragon.

April: Hymn for the Weekend – Made with St. Germain, gin, champagne, and fresh grapefruit peels that have been torched to extract bitter citrus notes to pair with the juniper flavors from the gin. It's not too strong, not too sweet, and topped off with a little bit of bubbly and elderflower – the perfect hymn for the weekend.

May: No Rest for the Wicked – A wicked twist on a classic mint julep, Markers Mark 46 is added to the classic cocktail and complemented by the tart and earthy undertones of fresh muddled blackberries and sage. Bold and complex, but without the bitterness typical of longer-aged whiskeys, this is a cocktail designed for the daredevils and wild-hearts of life.

June: Heart in the Clouds – While a traditional Aperol Spritz is made with Prosecco, Aperol, and soda water, Bodoy's take puts a New York twist on Italy's most popular summer apéritif. Replacing prosecco with rosé champagne and finished with orange rose water, rosemary, and apple, it's a perfectly sweet and citrus flavor that compliments the fruity bubbles and slightly bitter Aperol. It's vibrant, light, and refreshing fizz creates a perfect summer melody.
