THE GRAND SALON: The Great Frontier of Culinary Masterpieces

The history of glass making goes back further than the memory of our known ancestors. The history of the most notable works of crystal making undoubtedly dates back to the establishment of the Baccarat factory. For over than 250 years, by burning the furnace non-stop at 1,400 degrees, award-winning artisans transform raw materials into beautiful objects of the interior, just like fresh and organic ingredients now reincarnate in delicious plates at Grand Salon in Baccarat Hotel NYC.

Located in the heart of Midtown, The Grand Salon is a masterpiece of the upscale interior. Boasting with marble surfaces, silk-covered walls, premium parquet floors and plush, high-backed banquettes, the spacious space is crowned by a majestic chandelier that radiates with the luxuriant vibe. In the kitchen, behind the chic scene of the elite interior, is Chef Gabriel Kreuther. The Grand Salon's culinary team strives to create a posh yet cozy dining experience. "We are here to bring happiness to people," says Kreuther. "Make them feel welcome and share a good moment!" Born and raised on his family's farm, Gabriel Kreuther was always surrounded by the fresh seasonal ingredients of his native Alsace. That is why the menu at the Grand Salon breathes with sophisticated classical French culinary options in a contemporary execution created from organic ingredients.

Indulge in a unique fine dining adventure with The Grand Salon and Chef Gabriel Kreuther. Start by sampling tartlet with scallop tartare seasoned with fresh black truffle and light celeriac puree on the bottom. Proceed with wild mushroom soup with crispy mustard green ravioli and a touch of onion. Polish your meal with foie gras terrine breaded with toasted pistachio and served with smoked date jam, Strega and fennel. Or try out incredible petit pâté feuilleté baccarat, handmade savory pastry pies stuffed with veal, duck, guinea hen and foie gras, with a green salad on the side to emphasize the lightness of the plate. Don't forget about the extensive beverage list, where you can find the best wine pairings for your meal.

Besides the amazing all-day menu, the Grand Salon offers the majestic afternoon tea in partnership with Mariage Frères. Immerse in the unique experience with specialty blends of tea brewed by the restaurant's tea sommelier. The afternoon tea course consists of the choice of your favorite beverage paired with chef-selected canapés and petit fours. Currently, the restaurant has four courses such as King Louis XV as a French Tea at Versailles, Prince of Wales as an English tea at Windsor, Sultan Abdülaziz as a Turkish tea at Dolmabahçe Palace and Tsar Nicholas II as a caviar tea at Tsarskoye Selo.

The history of The Grand Salon is just started, but it is already glowing with luxurious highlights of its noble chandelier and smells with fragrances of delicious plates served by Two Michelin-starred Gabriel Kreuther.
