The Mangusta Oceano 50 Takes Home Best of Show Award at FLIBS

The Mangusta Oceano 50 was selected as the most show-stopping superyacht at the largest in-water boat show in the world.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (October 28, 2021) – The Mangusta Oceano 50, built by Overmarine Group, received the Best of Show award at the 63rd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). Produced by Informa Markets and owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, FLIBS is the largest in-water boat show in the world.

The superyacht, which measures approximately 50 meters in length, encapsulates Mangusta Yacht's focus on design, custom-made comfort, and painstaking detail.

"We are incredibly excited to have been awarded this year's Best of Show winner," said Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta Yachts' President Americas. "The Mangusta Oceano 50 offers her guests generous interior and exterior spaces, while floor-to-ceiling windows create a smooth, seamless continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas."

The vessel is equipped with two MTU 12V 2000 M86, 1700 horsepower engines for a maximum speed of 16 knots, with a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots beneath the 500-gross-ton threshold.

"The Mangusta Oceano 50 perfectly illustrates the top-tier luxury megayachts and world class exhibitors that make FLIBS a global boat show leader," said Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets. "We are thrilled to crown the Mangusta Oceano 50 as the Best of Show winner at our 63rd annual boat show for all visitors to enjoy."

The Best of Show award is given to innovative debut boat models on display at FLIBS that embody a variety of elements, including performance, design, technology, and architecture. The winner was selected by an elite panel of independent judges including Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, former professional motocross and stock car driver Ricky Carmichael, yacht captain and Bravo's Below Deck star Captain Sandy Yawn, champion race car driver Kyle Kirkwood, West Marine Chief Commercial Officer Captain Stacey Renfro, and West Marine Vice President of Brand Marketing Josh Horoshok.

"The Best of Show at FLIBS has become one of the most prestigious awards to receive in yachting," added Lori Wheeler, Vice President of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. "This year is the 63rd edition of the show, and the competition was stiff. With more than 40 debuts submitting, narrowed down to 6 finalists. We congratulate the Mangusta Oceano 50 on receiving the 2022 Best of Show."

FLIBS and the Best of Show award presentation will be featured in its own one-hour special to showcase the largest in-water boat show and some of the latest vessels leading the way in innovative design. Commentated by Jamie Little, the show will air on:
