LoveShackFancy’s Timeless Fall 2023 Presentation

On Tuesday, February 14th, New York-based LoveShackFancy debuted their British-inspired Fall 2023 Collection with a celebration of everything romantic and whimsical at The Plaza. Founder and Creative Director, Rebecca Hessel Cohen, welcomed guests to the eclectic and enchanting world of LoveShackFancy as she introduced their newest chapter of modern femininity, with an abundance of roses while romantic melodies played by a string quartet in an intimate, magical setting. Hair was styled by Jon Reyman for Aveda, makeup by Bobbi Brown, nails by KISS Nails, transportation by Alfa Romeo, glow by Sugared and Bronzed, and roses by Grace Rose Farm. The entire show was sponsored by Route. The casting for the presentation was produced by Stefanie Stein with styling by Anya Ziourova.

Guest included: Alexa Swinton, Bella Benite, Davis Burleson, Danielle Bernstein, Devin Apollon, Eve Jobs, Jess Wang, Kate Bartlett, Kit Keenan, Leah Kate, Lydia Night, Mary Leest, Meg Donnelly, Natalia Lim Suarez, Dylana Suarez, Rocky Barnes, Sai De Silva, Asia Monet, CJ Perry, Elle Ferguson, Hannah Harrel, Karen Blanchard, Ruby Lyn, Samira Ahmed, and Zoi Lerma.

LoveShackFancy Fall 2023 Rebel Rose

The LoveShack Fancy girl isn't so naïve; she's fallen in love, been the last one on the dance floor, run through the rain with the hem of her tulle gown in the mud, seen corners of the world and glimpses of her own soul, lost her luggage and sometimes her heart.

She's worldly yet princess pink, a shipwrecked romantic with a polished side. She is rebel rose: a little bit rock and roll, soft and strong, plaid suiting and sculptural taffeta, black velvet, and 19th-century lace, Portobello Road meets Savile Row.

The Fall 2023 collection is ageless and multi-faceted, a love letter to craftsmanship and heritage, and party dresses that don't hit the bedroom floor until 4 AM. It's nostalgia for '90s London —The Face magazine, Stella Tennant's pixie cut, Tim Walker's photographs.

LoveShackFancy is expanding its outerwear and knitwear offerings, layered nonchalantly with ultra-feminine dresses and separates. Classics are reimagined through the LoveShack Fancy lens—a moto jacket with a ruffle, twill suiting in pale rose pink, and flounce minis in gold lame. A statement Mongolian shearling drapes over a cream embroidered lace tank and ultra-cropped mini skirt with crystal button detail. A short black velvet military jacket is worn with an ivory peplum Victorian lace top and sequin flare trousers. Low-rise, plaid tailored pants are worn with a crystal and pearl embroidered Duchess satin top. A camel and pink plaid tailored coat atop a habotai and tulle dress. A plaid boyfriend blazer is worn over a Victorian dot embroidered tulle ruffle mini dress. A fuchsia sculptural taffeta mini is tied at the waist and paired with black leather platform boots.

The palette is found in winter white and ivory, camel, black, charcoal, and gunmetal gray, contrasted with soft pinks, lavender, and hints of golden yellow, offset with rich tones of mulberry and Bordeaux.

The LoveShackFancy beloved party dresses get the Black tie treatment with gowns created for a soiree. A tailored ash gray wool plaid cropped jacket layered with a leather moto jacket over the shoulder of a cascading organza gown with a crystal bodice. A one-shoulder lavender taffeta creation features a high-low hem with a train and rosette detailing. Three of the gowns have been designed, handmade, and hand-dyed from upcycled antique 1930s lace wedding dresses.

In the spirit of collaboration, one-of-a-kind upcycled bags and jackets were handmade from tweeds, vintage laces, and denim jackets in partnership with Marie Marquet in Paris. Plus, custom crystal and pearl jewelry were created alongside Ericson Beaman. All footwear was designed with Laurence Dacade.
