Q & A With Vanessa:

What surprises are in store for this year's Hamptons Interactive Brunch?

One of the greatest feelings is surprising my party guests. Last year, we surprised guests with a sit down brunch experience, including a full plated appetizer spread, signature cocktails and mocktails, and our signature loaded gift bag. I can reveal that if guests were 'wowed' by those surprises last year, get ready for so much more that is in store for this coming August at Baron's Cove! Definitely come hungry and ready to have lots of fun!

Who are your special guests slated to attend this year?

My event team, Sean Koski and Brian Kelly of Ticket2Events, and I are excited to welcome back last year's special guests and co-host including LeeAnne Locken and Kara Alloway as well as some new faces and emerging celebs. Alloway, for example, will be signing her new book, Most Hated, at the Brunch which I will say is a real page-turner! I don't want to spoil the surprise as to who will be in attendance but definitely expect some familiar faces on the Bravo TV scene and notable foodie influencers.

What do you love the most about summer in the Hamptons?

I have enjoyed summers in the Hamptons for three decades and I always love that each summer is always different and full of memorable experiences. I love that I can bounce over to Shelter Island and North Haven for serenity and peace of mind if I want to relax, to Little Plains Beach in Southampton for a day at the beach and ocean swimming, and then over to say Sagaponack for a private cocktail party or dinner. I love to mix it up when it comes to casual and dressing up and the Hamptons is the perfect destination for just that!

Tell us a bit about how you started this iconic brunch?

In March of 2018, I was remarking to some close friends of mine that there was such a void in annual Saturday afternoon events (especially after the iconic Super Saturday event moved to Manhattan in 2017). I then reached out to Sean and discussed the idea of curating an intimate luncheon or dinner while curating an experience for my guests to get to know some of my favorite brands and businesses. We then took the concept a few leaps further and built an interactive brunch experience, with our first year welcoming over 150 guests at Topping Rose House.

What are some of your favorite places to go and things to do in the Hamptons?

After my children arrive at camp, I head to Havens Beach to paddle board or to Barry's in Wainscott. I then typically grab coffee or lunch at Tutto Caffé in East Hampton and then take my long walk through the village past the Duck Pond and down Hither Lane near where I grew up. I spend a lot of time outdoors during the summer and always love to stroll through Mulford Farm or Ruth Wales Dupont Sanctuary off of Captain's Neck Lane. In the evenings, I love to grab drinks at Fresno and then have a late dinner at the Tavern at The 1770 House.

For family outings, my husband and I love taking our children to Buddhaberry in Sag Harbor, the Children's Museum of the East End, and to LongHouse Reserve to stroll through the sculpture gardens.
