Gaylord Hotels Unveils DC Summer: A Supercharged Resort Experience with Warner Bros. Discovery

This summer, Gaylord Hotels invites guests to experience a thrilling new adventure with the launch of DC Summer—a groundbreaking collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences. From May through September 1, 2025, select Gaylord Hotels across the country will transform into dynamic playgrounds where Super Heroes and Super-Villains come vividly to life.

Designed as a full-scale immersion into the DC Universe, DC Summer offers more than a dozen themed activations, from a Justice League dining experience to scavenger hunts led by the likes of Batman and Wonder Woman. The partnership marks a bold first foray into multi-resort thematic entertainment, seamlessly merging Gaylord’s reputation for family-friendly luxury with the enduring global appeal of DC’s legendary characters.

The centerpiece of this summer’s programming is Universe of Light Featuring DC, debuting exclusively at Gaylord Texan Resort. As the first DC Super Hero-themed lantern attraction in the United States, the exhibit spans 17,500 square feet and showcases 40 iconic characters through more than 1,000 hand-crafted, illuminated sculptures. Visitors will stroll through stunning recreations of Gotham City, Metropolis, Themyscira, and beyond—each lantern meticulously crafted by master artisans from Zigong, China, the "Lantern Capital of the World." The experience also introduces an exclusive custom DC Comic, available only at the resort.

Across Gaylord Opryland (Nashville), Gaylord Palms (Kissimmee), Gaylord Rockies (Aurora), and Gaylord Texan (Lake Grapevine), the experience unfolds at every turn. Guests can embark on a DC Super Hero Mission, solving challenges across the resorts for special rewards, or dive into The Revenge of The Riddler Scavenger Hunt. Special character dining experiences range from Hall of Justice Character Dining with Batman and Wonder Woman, to a mischievous encounter with Harley Quinn and The Joker.

For younger heroes-in-training, the DC Super Hero Academy Live Show offers interactive storytelling and surprise appearances, while DC Super Hero Splash transforms resort pools into all-ages celebrations with music, trivia, and themed snacks like the Amazonian Freeze ICEE.

By nightfall, the Battle for Justice Light Show electrifies the resorts with cinematic effects, lighting up the sky in an epic clash of heroes and villains.

A curated selection of exclusive DC Summer merchandise—ranging from autograph books and capes to specialty tote bags—will be available at pop-up stores within the resorts. Guests can also access Super Hero-inspired cocktails and secret menu items by using a codeword known only to insiders.

Combining high-caliber entertainment, imaginative storytelling, and luxurious accommodations, DC Summer is poised to redefine the traditional summer getaway, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience for families, collectors, and comic book aficionados alike.
