The festivities began with a soulful rendition of “O Canada” by the Canadian Tenors, setting the tone for the brand’s signature Guitar Smash—a modern twist on ribbon-cutting that brought together Hard Rock executives, Ottawa’s civic leaders, and even members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which owns the global brand.

Among those leading the ceremonial moment were Hard Rock International CEO Jim Allen, Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming Stan Cho, and Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe. The event also spotlighted Hard Rock’s philanthropic mission, with a $100,000 donation to the Ottawa Food Bank, underlining the brand’s commitment to community impact alongside commercial growth.
