August 11th, 2025 – The rolling vineyards of Alexander Valley will soon share the spotlight with a new luxury destination as Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians and Caesars Entertainment have officially broken ground on Caesars Republic Sonoma County. The transformation of the existing River Rock Casino marks a significant milestone in the Tribe’s vision for economic growth, cultural preservation, and elevated hospitality in Northern California.

A Partnership Rooted in Ambition

Situated off Highway 101 and overlooking the Russian River and Alexander Valley Vineyards, the property’s location blends Sonoma’s natural beauty with the high-energy allure of a premier gaming and resort experience.

“Breaking ground on Caesars Republic Sonoma County marks a monumental moment for Dry Creek Rancheria. This partnership with Caesars Entertainment represents more than just a new chapter in our casino’s story — it’s a bold leap into the future for our Tribe and our community.”

Chris Wright, Chairman of the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians

The project is backed by Citizens as the financing lead and Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) as the primary real estate financing partner.

  • A 100-room luxury hotel complete with a spa, pool, and fitness center

  • A variety of dining concepts, including a steakhouse, upscale café, Asian restaurant, and premium quick-service option

  • Multiple bar experiences, from a fireside lounge to a dedicated sports bar and an open-air wine bar with panoramic valley views

“On the heels of a successful launch of Caesars Republic in Lake Tahoe, we couldn’t think of a better place than Sonoma County to continue the brand’s expansion.”

Anthony Carano, President and COO of Caesars Entertainment

Designed for Both Leisure and Legacy

The architecture and amenities aim to offer an elevated yet approachable experience, appealing to both gaming enthusiasts and travelers seeking a refined wine country getaway. Guests will have access to the Caesars Rewards® network, allowing them to earn and redeem credits at more than 50 Caesars properties nationwide.

The project’s financing and development partners see it as a long-term investment in the region’s appeal.

“Caesars Republic Sonoma County represents an exciting opportunity to develop a world-class destination in the heart of California’s iconic Sonoma Valley wine region.”
