This winter, George Town will welcome a defining chapter in its evolution with the debut of ONE | GT, a boutique luxury hotel and residences set to reframe Grand Cayman’s hospitality landscape. Rising 144 feet above the waterfront, the Remington Hospitality–managed property — and proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World — will be home to 95 design-forward suites, 82 private residences, Grand Cayman’s first rooftop infinity-edge pool, and three distinctive dining venues.

Now, the stage is set for its founding leadership team: acclaimed hotelier Andrew Barlow as General Manager and award-winning marketer Lucy Taylor as Director of Sales and Marketing. Together, they will guide ONE | GT into its next chapter — one defined by modern sophistication, authentic Caribbean warmth, and meaningful community connection.

“ONE | GT is more than a hotel – it’s a community-driven destination and a cornerstone of George Town’s evolution.”

Andrew Barlow, ONE | GT General Manager

He continued, “It will be a place where guests and locals come together in meaningful ways – a catalyst for the city’s renewal. While my career has taken me around the globe, there’s something uniquely special about the warmth of Caribbean culture and the chance to contribute to a project that will leave a lasting legacy. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and inspired, and ONE | GT embodies that spirit in every way.

Barlow’s résumé spans more than two decades at celebrated boutique and island resorts, from St. Barth’s to London, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, and Antigua, where he served at Carlisle Bay (Leading Hotels of the World). His experience at Oil Nut Bay in the British Virgin Islands and with Hyatt Hotels Corporation sharpened his ability to balance operational excellence with guest intimacy. A graduate of École Hôtelière de Lausanne, he has been deeply embedded in ONE | GT’s pre-opening phase, shaping a guest journey that feels both cosmopolitan and deeply rooted in place.

A Visionary in Brand Storytelling

For Lucy Taylor, the property’s narrative is as important as its architectural presence. “I’m honored to introduce ONE | GT on a global stage,” she says. “This project resonates with me not only as a hotelier, but as someone who has fallen in love with this island and its people over the past six years. We’re creating something that embodies Grand Cayman’s beauty, energy, and strong sense of community, sharing it with travelers as a premier luxury destination.

Originally from Scotland, Taylor built her career with Castle Leisure Group, Apex Hotels, and Wilkies before relocating to Grand Cayman in 2019. At The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, she oversaw marketing that earned her the Cayman Islands Marketer of the Year award in 2022. At ONE | GT, she will work closely with Remington Hospitality and SLH to position the property as the Caribbean’s must-visit luxury address.

Rooted in Community

Barlow and Taylor share a philosophy that great hospitality extends beyond the property line. Barlow’s volunteer work includes turtle nesting walks with the Department of Environment and diver safety advocacy with Cayman Islands Hyperbaric Services. Taylor has served on the Board of Directors of the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association, leading events and training initiatives to elevate the local industry.

In their personal time, Barlow can often be found diving or exploring the outdoors, while Taylor channels her passion for health and wellness as a certified reiki practitioner and regular at The Performance Lab. These personal pursuits reflect the holistic ethos they bring to ONE | GT’s mission.

An Elevated Caribbean Experience

When ONE | GT opens its doors, it will be more than an addition to Grand Cayman’s skyline — it will be a curated environment designed for connection, culture, and contemporary luxury.

Guests can expect:

  • Grand Cayman’s first rooftop infinity-edge pool with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.

  • A third-floor pool oasis offering a secluded retreat.

  • Three distinct dining venues: a fine-dining signature restaurant, a rooftop restaurant and bar, and an artisanal café.

  • Private amenities including a library, fitness center, and refined gathering spaces for residents and guests alike.

With its blend of architecture, elevated service, and leadership committed to meaningful engagement, ONE | GT is poised to become a benchmark for boutique luxury in the region — and a catalyst for George Town’s continued transformation.
