The rising cost of living is a national issue, and in North Bay Village, many long-term condo residents were struggling with escalating HOA fees. I saw an opportunity to create a solution that benefited both the public and private sectors. It took nearly a year of persistence, collaboration with local officials, and navigating bureaucratic hurdles, but we passed it the night before my wedding, a moment I’ll never forget. Hopefully, this law will model how developers can actively contribute to sustainable housing solutions while still driving successful projects.
