The Pack Is Here: Noah Neiman’s Next Round Brings Self-Defense and Strength to NYC’s Luxury Fitness Scene

From Rumble Boxing to real-world readiness, Neiman’s new Flatiron studio fuses high-performance training, street defense, and high design.

When Noah Neiman co-founded Rumble Boxing in 2017, he didn’t just launch a fitness concept—he created a cultural movement. Now, eight years later, Neiman is back in the ring with The Pack, a next-generation boutique gym opening this August in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Equal parts elevated and elemental, The Pack is built around a three-headed training model—strength, conditioning, and real-world self-defense—delivered in a 50-minute, tech-integrated workout. But this isn’t just about hitting personal bests. It’s about showing up stronger, smarter, and more prepared for what life throws your way.

Designed with the precision of Technogym’s performance gear, layered with the diagnostic insight of Hone Health, and wrapped in a visual identity that nods to both the Louvre and the underground Boiler Room scene, The Pack takes an unapologetically high-concept approach to training. “We’re not launching a concept out of paranoia, but preparedness,” Neiman says. Backed by years of martial arts experience and a deep creative network—including longtime collaborator Dan Maynard of The Waterford Group—Neiman has crafted a studio where luxury fitness meets street-smart practicality. Call it self-defense with staying power.

Q

The Pack is rooted in the idea of reclaiming primal strength and function—how do you see that philosophy resonating with today’s luxury fitness audience, who are increasingly focused on performance over aesthetics?

A

To repurpose the famous quote “the world is but a stage," we say “the world is but a ring." Life is but a fight; Figuratively and unfortunately sometimes, especially nowadays, literally. It’s that underlying belief, coupled with our desire for our clients to increase their competency in what we believe are three key pillars in allowing them to perform their best in that very “ring," that was the foundation for The Pack.

Those three key pillars form the heads of our Cerberus and are:

  1. Strength training on Technogym benches: Strength is the foundation of not only your body’s aesthetic, but its very longevity.

  2. Conditioning on the Rogue Assault bikes: My coaches have always said that it doesn’t matter how well you fight, but how much fight you have in you. The assault bike is by far one of, if not the, best ways to aerobically condition your body to increase your stamina for the literal and figurative battles of life. It’s low, to no impact, so repetitive stress injuries are mitigated. Its toughness is based on the user’s output so there’s no need to press buttons or fidget with anything to adjust the resistance. The arm handles make it a full body workout, with emphasis on key muscles like the shoulders, lats, biceps, triceps, core, quads, hamstrings, and calves. High yield, low impact, performance enhancing benefits you can carry with you to the streets.

  3. Street defense on the BOB: “How you train is how you fight, and how you fight is how you live your life." A quote extrapolated from the great Cus D’Amato line, that I’ve been saying at Rumble since I launched it in 2017. The BOB is how we’re taking that fight outside of JUST the boxing ring, and evolving it to better serve us in the ring of life, working powerful skills that allow you to better walk the streets confidently. Working not only boxing combinations, but fundamental self defense tactics that have real world utility. Teep kicks, open palm strikes, knees, ground and pound, practicing punch placement, are just some of the enhanced skill sets training at The Pack will provide.

We do all that credible performance driven training, while wrapping it in a brand package that even Michael Carl, a VP of Hermes, approves of. So even the most discerning luxury minded member will resonate with it. I was fortunate enough to attend an Hermes Fit event as Michael’s guest, and the seedlings of the visual identity of The Pack were planted.

The point is, you won’t have to compromise anything at The Pack. You get an incredibly effective and timely workout that will make you perform better, look better, feel better, instill you with confidence, teach you unique street defense skills, while walking into a space that looks more like an exhibition at The Louvre than a “fitness brand”. My mom always tells a story of how she would say when I was about to get into trouble for misbehaving as a toddler, “I love you, but…”—and I would quickly cut her off and say “no buts!!” At The Pack, there are no buts, no compromises—just three incredibly effective modalities coming together in an elevated holistic experience you would expect from the founders of Rumble.

Q

You’ve partnered with industry leaders like Technogym and Hone Health to integrate performance and longevity into the workout—how does cutting-edge tech elevate both the physical and mental transformation clients will experience at The Pack?

A

The Pack isn’t just “The Pack” in name, but in execution as well. Andy Stenzler, my partner and co-founder of both Rumble and The Pack, were fortunate enough to fly to Cesena in Italy, and walk the magnificent Disney-esque headquarters of Technogym with Nero, Technogym’s self made CEO. I was blown away by their attention to detail. How they beautifully combine form and function to craft their products. How the founder, Nero, went from creating a single hack squat machine in his garage, to building one of the most pioneering tech forward fitness equipment brands the world has ever seen. Nero fed us at his incredible on site dining hall. Which had Italian cuisine that would rival some of our highest rated restaurants. It felt like family. We were treated like we were one of the pack. So when I was sourcing how we could best serve our clients, I was certain that Technogym had to be a part of that service.

With HONE, I talked to Saad, the founder about the mission his company had. The impact he wanted to make on an often very archaic sector. We discussed that if you don’t truly know the inner workings, those easily identifiable bio-markers that make up your very being, how can you perform your best? How can you live your best life? We wanted to provide that “Rosetta Stone” for the inner workings of our clients bodies in order to offer them a way to truly live their strongest and healthiest lives. Not just with Technogym or Hone, but every partnership or collaborative effort stems from our desire to bring members of OUR real life Pack together, so that we can best serve our clients with not only the best workout in fitness, but the most impactful health driven experience possible.

Q

After redefining boxing with Rumble, what personal or cultural inspiration drove you to launch a concept that fuses self-defense with high-intensity training—and why now?

A

Have you scrolled on your phone lately? We’re not launching a concept out of paranoia, but preparedness. The best self defense—is absolutely to AVOID any dangerous conflict or altercation. Sometimes that isn’t possible. Just like I wanted to bring boxing to a different audience, I wanted to bring the confidence instilling elements of street defense together with strength training and conditioning, in order to form not only an incredibly effective workout, but a timely one.

Just as Rumble was a conduit for so many to start coupling their training at Gleason’s, or more traditional boxing gyms. I hope The Pack does the same for Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and more traditional “self defense” spots. I was fortunate enough to train with some of the greatest Jiu Jitsu practitioners of modern time. With my time training at Serra Jiu Jitsu in Long Island, or Warren Stout in Pittsburgh (both black belts under the legend Renzo Gracie) I learned first hand how confident and strong you can become training these disciplines.

I want to recalibrate how people perceive “self defense." It’s not some McDojo approach where you scream at the top of your lungs and push your attacker back like a bad strip mall Karate skit. I want to continue my work I started at Barry’s getting people stronger and better conditioned. I want to continue my work at Rumble getting people stronger, better conditioned, and learning the skills of the sweet science. I want to continue that work at The Pack in order to get people stronger, better conditioned, and learning a set of street defense skills that has never been brought to group fitness before.

Also, if you don’t care a lick about any of the Homer’s Odyssey-length ramblings I just wrote—The Pack will get your body in insane shape, we’ll listen to custom curated and unique boiler room soundtracks developed by Grammy award winning producers, we’ll have merch that would make even the Arnault family at LVMH give it a second look, art installations that look like they belong at the Brooklyn loft version of the Louvre, and the Cerberus logo that was inspired by my unwavering love for my loyal and loving dogs; Zo, Tyson, and Oz (may he forever rest in peace) adorning the walls. My brother by every other means than blood, Dan Maynard, and his world class creative agency, The Waterford Group were the brand architects that helped make this vision a reality. This is what I meant by The Pack isn’t just a name; it’s very fabric is woven together by almost 15 years of building relationships with incredibly talented people like Dan in order to create something uniquely special.

I love creating worlds to better make training like this, training that saved my life in numerous occasions, have a stronger appeal so we can help others as much as its so profoundly helped me.

Summary

For Neiman, The Pack isn’t just a name—it’s a philosophy. It’s about building community, fostering real confidence, and equipping people with skills that extend far beyond the gym floor. There’s no gimmick here—just years of training, reflection, and collaboration distilled into one cohesive, culture-forward space. From the Cerberus-emblazoned walls honoring his late dog Oz to the exclusive soundtracks created by Grammy-winning producers, every detail carries intention. In a fitness world often obsessed with optics, The Pack reminds us that true strength is both earned and shared. And this summer in New York, it’s getting a new address.
