The Visionaries Behind Teyo

Teyo was born from a collaboration between Matthew Auerbach and Artur Sharf, a celebrated architect and co-founder of YODEZEEN, an international design studio. With over 35 years of combined experience in architecture and interior design, the duo created Teyo to elevate the use of natural stone and rare materials in luxury projects.

Auerbach, who has worked on exclusive projects with design luminaries like Jean Nouvel and Zaha Hadid, says, “We developed Teyo to serve as a point of reference for the highest-caliber projects, ensuring every piece is as unique as the material it’s made from.”

What Makes Teyo Unique?

Teyo is redefining what it means to work with raw materials. Each product is designed to combine timeless elegance with cutting-edge functionality, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same. Here are some highlights of what sets Teyo apart:

  • Exclusive Raw Materials: The brand sources rare stones like Arabescato Orobico, Rosso Levanto, and White Lilac, creating exclusive textures and designs. Each slab is hand-selected and pre-assembled in the workshops of Carrara, Italy—a region renowned for its exquisite marble.

  • Bespoke Craftsmanship: Every item is meticulously crafted by artisans, from luxurious kitchen islands to custom outdoor fireplaces. The result is a product that is not only functional but a work of art.

  • Sustainability: Teyo’s commitment to sustainability shines through in its sourcing and craftsmanship, collaborating with eco-conscious quarries and workshops.

  • Tailored Service: Beyond its signature collection, Teyo’s in-house contract division creates custom pieces for large-scale projects, making the brand a go-to for architects and developers.

"Teyo is built on an obsession with discovering the world’s most exclusive and rare materials desired by discerning clients around the globe."

From Ancient Inspiration to Modern Design

Drawing inspiration from the architecture of ancient Rome and Greece, as well as the works of Michelangelo, Teyo marries millennia-old traditions with modern innovation. Its materials—carefully selected from quarries in Italy and beyond—serve as the foundation for high-end architecture and interior design projects.

Each piece in the Teyo collection is a statement. From the Luminosa kitchen island to the Alba vanity, the brand’s signature products exude sophistication. Teyo also offers a range of outdoor coffee tables equipped with innovative features like integrated fireplaces or ice baskets, merging practicality with elegance.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship in Miami

The Miami showroom’s opening signals Teyo’s commitment to becoming a global leader in luxury design. It serves as a platform for clients to explore the possibilities of custom design while connecting with Teyo’s dedicated team of designers and craftsmen.

“Our goal is to provide a fully immersive experience for clients who appreciate the rarity and uniqueness of our materials. Every product is a collaboration between nature, craftsmanship, and our clients’ vision.”
