There’s something about Miami Beach that makes love linger a little longer. Maybe it’s the pastel skyline at sunset, the Art Deco streets pulsing with energy, or the way the ocean seems to stretch like a promise. According to a new survey by Upgraded Points, that irresistible mix has earned Miami Beach the top spot as the best honeymoon destination in the United States for 2025—beating out heavy-hitters like Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, and Savannah.

Scoring 71.4 out of 100 across 15 categories—including romantic accommodations, couple-centric experiences, and affordability—Miami Beach offers more than a tropical backdrop. It delivers an immersive, dynamic experience designed to suit every type of couple, from the spa-bound to the thrill-seeking.

Romance Without the Passport

“Honeymooners don’t need to travel far to experience something extraordinary. With no passport required, our guests can plan a romantic escape that fits their schedule, style, and budget.”

Peggy Benua, Chairwoman of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority

Indeed, that accessibility is part of the draw. But beyond convenience, Miami Beach offers a curated selection of accommodations that span the spectrum of luxury, design, and atmosphere. Take Hotel Greystone, an adults-only boutique hotel located along Collins Avenue. Here, Art Deco architecture meets modern minimalism. Couples can enjoy a rooftop pool, late-night cocktails, and dinner at Sérêvène, a Michelin-recognized restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Pawan Pinisetti, where French rotisserie meets Japanese izakaya-style dining.

Just down the beach, Shelborne by Proper—fresh from a renovation—welcomes couples with sleek design, ocean views, a private beach club, and an indulgent spa. Meanwhile, Eden Roc Miami Beach continues to channel old-school glamour through a contemporary lens. Originally designed by mid-century maestro Morris Lapidus, the hotel still charms with its oceanfront terraces, palm-lined pools, and on-site Nobu outpost.

Experiences Designed for Two

There’s no shortage of ways to connect beyond the suite. Couples craving adventure can book jet ski excursions with BouYah Water Sports, or opt for a romantic sail at golden hour. Wellness seekers can sink into a couples’ massage at Tierra Santa Healing House inside Faena Miami Beach—a sanctuary known for its holistic rituals and beachfront serenity.

For the culturally curious, the EXP Miami Beach Tours App opens up a world of curated itineraries. Available on the App Store and Google Play, it offers self-guided experiences like the Art in Public Places tour, Cultural Institutions walk, LGBTQ+ Nightlife Tour, and the Miami Beach Icons Tour. Those wanting a more structured experience can join the Miami Design and Preservation League’s Art Deco walking tour, held daily at 10:30 a.m., to soak in the city’s signature style and history.

“We’re proud to be recognized as the No. 1 honeymoon destination. Through tools like the EXP App, we’ve made it easy for couples to curate their perfect trip—whether they want to relax, explore, or do a little of both.”

Grisette Marcos, Executive Director of the MBVCA

A Celebration of Connection

What sets Miami Beach apart isn’t just its oceanfront luxury or world-class dining. It’s the sense that no matter what kind of couple you are—sun-chasers, food lovers, architecture buffs, or all of the above—there’s a space for you to feel celebrated. It’s this unique blend of style, warmth, and inclusivity that has helped the destination climb to the top of this year’s honeymoon rankings.
