The Boca Raton Museum of Art is excited to announce that its annual Gala & After Party was held on January 30, 2016 in the Royal Palm Ballroom at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, sponsored by Boca Magazine.
The event – which drew out more than 500 guests – caps an entire "Week of Warhol" that celebrates the opening of three new exhibitions at the Museum: Bob Colacello: In and Out with Andy, Warhol on Vinyl, and Warhol Prints from the Collection of Marc Bell. Inspired by the idea of Andy's New York, the Museum will fill the evening with art, performance, and a distinctly Warhol vibe.
During the Gala, which began at 6:30 pm, had guests enjoying a cocktail hour and silent auction as they participate in making a huge mural along with artists from the Museum's Art School and Artists' Guild. Next comes dinner in the Royal Palm Ballroom for dinner and dancing with a music selection by the world-renowned DJ Jellybean Benitez. Following dinner, guests will enjoy an exciting live painting performance by Michael Israel and a live art auction. The program also includes a celebration of the evening's honorees, which include the event's Honorary Chairs Jennifer & Marc Bell and Charlotte & Norman Codo as the Jean Spence Award Recipients. All Gala guests were invited to stay for the After Party.
The After Party fun beganat 8:00 pm with a cocktail party and silent auction and continues at 9:30 pm with a live painting performance by Michael Israel and a live art auction. Then DJ Jellybean Benitez returned for a Factory-inspired After Party and dancing into the night.
All proceeds from the Gala & After Party benefits the Museum's exhibitions and programs, as well as the Museum's Art School.
