New York, NY (September 12, 2023) – Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research announced today that their annual signature fundraiser, the Angel Ball, hosted by Co-Founders, songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter, will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on Monday, October 23rd at Cipriani Wall Street, in New York City.

Celebrating Humanitarian Excellence at the Star-Studded Angel Ball 2023

The star-studded event, known for its amazing live entertainment and celebrity participants, honors outstanding individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research. This year, the Angel Ball will honor Hospitality Entrepreneur Richie Akiva and Founder and CEO of The Elizabeth Elting Foundation, Elizabeth Elting. Honorary Chairs of the Gala include Amy & Brian France, Marc J. Leder and Warren Lichtenstein.

Two-time Emmy Award-winning TV Host, Journalist & Author Tamron Hall will emcee the black-tie fête, treating guests to exciting live performances. Later, they will dance the night away to music by Grammy Award-winning R&B legend Jermaine Dupri.

A Heartfelt 25-Year Tribute to Gabrielle's Angel: Hope, Faith, and a Shared Resolve

"It is bittersweet to celebrate 25 years of The Angel Ball in honor of my late daughter, Gabrielle, but it also fills me with much faith and hope," said Denise Rich, Founder of Gabrielle's Angel Foundation. "Gabrielle's band of angels grows year after year, as does their resolve to eradicate leukemia and lymphoma once and for all so that no parent or loved one ever feels such pain again. Sponsors and Auctions: A Star-Studded Evening of Generosity at the Angel Ball 2023

Cincoro Tequila, Farfetch, and Lorraine Schwartz will present the evening, along with additional sponsors, including Dennis & Co., Valmont, Whispering Angel, and IKRAA Caviar. Jamie McDonald will conduct the live auction, and Star Jones will lead the paddle raise. Charitybuzz will host a silent auction online from October 17th to October 30th. This year the Gala will also present a dedicated art auction which will feature works by Peter Tunney, Mr. Brainwash, Romero Britto, Bradley Theodore, Halim Flowers, Ross Pino, and more.

25 Years of Impact: Gabrielle's Angel Foundation's Pioneering Cancer Research Journey

Since 1996,  Gabrielle's Angel Foundation has funded over $41 million in research grants  to the best and brightest early cancer scientists whose research focuses on finding better treatments, preventions and cures  for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and related blood cancers. The Foundation is grateful for the support of many longtime donors and friends. Most recently, in January, film producer Thomas Pierce hosted the first edition of the Aspen Snow Ball in support of Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and the launch of Children's Oncology Support Fund (COSF) founded by Pierce. As a result of the spectacular event, the Foundation was able to fund two research grants with proceeds raised at the fête.

Two-time Emmy® Award-winning journalist and author Tamron Hall is Executive Producer and host of the nationally syndicated talk show "Tamron Hall," which returned for a fifth season on September 5, 2023. Entering a fifth season marks an impressive milestone for Hall, making her one of only a few journalists in television history to achieve this accomplishment. Hall was also recently nominated for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host for the upcoming 2023 Daytime Emmys, which she has been honored with for the show twice before. Her win in 2020 marked the first time a freshman host received the accolade.

Tamron Hall hosted "Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall" on Investigation Discovery for six seasons. The show explored shocking national crimes. She co-hosted the third hour of "TODAY" and "TODAY's Take" for three years. Tamron Hall anchored "MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall." She received the 2015 Edward R. Murrow Award for Reporting in Network Television. The award was for her segment on domestic violence in "TODAY's Shine A Light" series. Hall hosted special reports for MSNBC and NBC News. One such report, "Education Nation: Teacher Town Hall," was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2011. She served as a correspondent for "The Inauguration of Barack Obama," an Emmy Award-winning special in 2010.

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation honored Hall with two Gracie Awards: first in 2020 for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment and in 2022 for Best On-Air Talent. She earned a spot on the 2022 Variety500 list, which recognizes influential business leaders shaping the global media industry. "Tamron Hall" received 13 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, 4 NAACP Image Award nominations, a GLAAD Media Award nomination, and an Iris Award nomination.

Tamron Hall's Passion for Social Causes

In March 2023, in celebration of Women's Herstory Month, the New York City Council honored Hall with a proclamation for Outstanding Service and Achievements. In July 2022, she was appointed to the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) and served as an industry ambassador, working on campaigns and fundraising efforts to help shape the Foundation's future.

Tamron Hall: A Versatile Media Icon

Hall is devoted to causes like domestic violence, homelessness, and literacy, supporting various organizations over the years. She partnered with Safe Horizon, launching The Tamron Renate Fund to aid domestic violence victims and families. Safe Horizon honored her with the Voice of Empowerment Award in 2014. Day One, an NYC-based advocacy group, recognized her with the Ackerman Family Advocate Award for raising awareness. Hall also shares her journey with In vitro fertilization and becoming a first-time mom at 48.

A native of Luling, Texas, Hall holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University, where she serves on the Board of Trustees. She currently lives in New York with her husband and son.
