Rosemary’s Wynwood: New York’s Beloved Italian Eatery Brings Its Heart to Miami
The wait is over—Rosemary’s Wynwood, a celebrated Italian neighborhood restaurant from New York City, is finally making its Miami debut. On Friday, February 7, 2025, the doors will open at 322 NW 25th Street, inviting guests to experience a thoughtful blend of seasonal Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and a lush outdoor dining space inspired by the Tuscan countryside.
A creation of Casa Nela hospitality group founder Carlos Suarez, Rosemary’s Miami is more than just an expansion—it’s a return home. “The foundation of the Rosemary’s concept is comfort, a space to step out of your busy life for a moment and enjoy delicious food at affordable prices in a place that evokes the feel of the Italian countryside,” says Suarez. With nearly 20 years of family history in Miami, this opening marks a full-circle moment for the Cuban-English restaurateur.
From NYC to Miami: A Fresh Take on a Neighborhood Staple
Much like its West Village predecessor, Rosemary’s Wynwood embraces community-driven dining, transforming a single-story shoe warehouse and an adjacent empty lot into a lush al fresco oasis. The restaurant is built on a partnership with Miami’s Little River Cooperative, incorporating sustainable and locally sourced ingredients into every dish.
At the helm of the kitchen is Executive Chef Craig Giunta, whose impressive résumé includes Mother Wolf, Concours Club, and Macchialina. Bringing his expertise in Italian cuisine to Miami, Giunta’s menu showcases an array of handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and farm-to-table vegetables.
A Menu Rooted in Tradition and Innovation
Every plate at Rosemary’s tells a story—one of Italian tradition, local influence, and a deep connection to the land. Guests can expect:
Eggplant Caponata
Roasted vegetables with pine nuts and agrodolce, a sweet and sour Italian condiment.
Orecchiette
Handmade pasta paired with house-made sausage, broccoli rabe, Fresno chili, and Parmigiano for the perfect balance of spice and richness.
Chopped Salad “Siciliana”
A refreshing mix of escarole, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, crispy chickpeas, ricotta salata, and almonds.
Olive Oil Cake
A Mediterranean classic with a Miami twist, offering light citrus notes and a velvety texture.
Bombolini with Nutella Crema
A decadent Italian doughnut, indulgently filled and dusted with sugar.
Pairing these dishes is a robust Italian wine selection and an innovative cocktail program featuring Italian spritzes, zero-proof libations, and creative interpretations of classic drinks.
A Space That Evokes the Italian Countryside
Designed by NYC-based Dekar Design, the 7,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor restaurant fuses rustic charm with modern sophistication. The space features botanical elements, warm wood tones, and an open-air dining garden, providing an inviting yet elevated ambiance.
A New Chapter for Rosemary’s
Named after Suarez’s mother, Rosemary, the restaurant embodies the warmth of a family kitchen—where food is made with love and shared with care. What began as a quaint West Village eatery in 2012 has now expanded across the globe, with locations in Tokyo, Manhattan’s East Side, Midtown NYC, and now Miami.
As Rosemary’s makes its mark in Wynwood, it brings with it a philosophy of hospitality, sustainability, and a commitment to accessible, high-quality dining. Whether you’re indulging in freshly made pasta, sipping on a classic aperitivo, or enjoying the lush surroundings of the urban farm, Rosemary’s Wynwood is poised to become a new staple in Miami’s culinary scene.
