June 5th, 2025 – Bal Harbour’s culinary landscape enters an elevated era with the opening of BH Prime, the first dedicated steakhouse concept at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort. Set within one of Florida’s most prestigious beachfront properties—honored with Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond recognition for over a decade—BH Prime answers a long-standing request from guests for an elegant, dinner-driven destination to match the property’s elevated profile.

Replacing the former BH Burger Bar, the newly transformed space has been reimagined into a sophisticated setting where fine cuts, global technique, and artful presentation intersect. Officially opened in June 2025, BH Prime cements its role as a cornerstone in the resort’s culinary program, expanding its offering for discerning locals and international travelers alike.

At the helm of BH Prime is General Manager Carlo Javakhia, an acclaimed restaurateur whose accolades include Restaurateur of the Year for the Middle East and Africa (2019). With a resume that spans Athens, Dubai, and Doha, Javakhia brings an intuitive understanding of what today’s global diner expects—refinement, storytelling, and an experience that lingers well beyond the final course.

Joining him is Executive Chef Adrian Colameco, a Florida native whose classically trained background is infused with Latin heritage and an instinct for high-impact flavor.

BH Prime’s menu emphasizes exceptional sourcing and culinary precision. Steakhouse purists will gravitate to highlights like the Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu NY Strip, among the most prized cuts in the world, or the 32 oz. USDA Prime Longbone Tomahawk, finished tableside with a dramatic smoking presentation. Also on offer: a 14 oz. USDA Prime Boneless Ribeye, dry-aged and served with understated flair.

Guests seeking something from the sea won’t feel left behind. The Miso-Glazed Sea Bass arrives in a coconut ginger sauce with baby bok choy, while the Ora King Salmon is brightened by Castelvetrano olives and fregola sarda. The Royal Seafood Tower, with Chilled Jumbo Shrimp and Seasonal Oysters, raises the bar for a traditional raw bar experience.

There’s also a nod to BH Burger Bar’s legacy with an elevated Bison Burger topped with maple pepper bacon, cambozola cheese, and a Buffalo Trace BBQ sauce—a decadent, satisfying bite that bridges the restaurant’s past and present.

Caviar, Cocktails, and Culinary Theater

BH Prime introduces a dedicated caviar program in partnership with Petrossian, one of the most storied names in luxury delicacies. Guests can explore selections like Tsar Imperial Ossetra and Royal Daurenki, served with classic accompaniments that let each nuance shine.

The beverage program, developed in collaboration with Signature Cocktail & Co, brings an international dimension to the experience. Crafted by mixologists from Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore, the menu leans into classic cocktail culture with precision and polish.

For dessert, Executive Pastry Chef Nagypsy offers indulgent options like the Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée and the BH Triple Chocolate Ganache Cake—a layered experience featuring Jivara milk chocolate, Manjari dark chocolate cremeux, cocoa nib tuile, and Cuban coffee ice cream. Each dish is both a finale and a finale-worthy showpiece.

The interior, dressed in leather, dark wood, and warm textures, is sophisticated without posturing—designed to let the food, wine, and conversation do the talking. In a unique pairing of art and hospitality, BH Prime also showcases rotating works from Opera Gallery, allowing guests to dine surrounded by museum-quality pieces curated by the hotel’s on-site art partner.

Open daily from 4:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with both indoor (38 seats) and outdoor (20 seats) options, BH Prime welcomes both hotel guests and the public. For those seeking a private indulgence, in-room dining is available starting at 4:30 PM.
