June 19th, 2025 – One of Miami’s most recognized cafés has made its long-anticipated return—this time within one of the city’s most architecturally and culturally significant destinations. As of late May 2025, OTL (short for Out to Lunch) is officially back, relaunching inside The Moore, the Design District’s luxury private members club and hotel. With its reopening, OTL resumes its place in the rhythm of the neighborhood, offering locals, creatives, and hotel guests alike a stylish yet welcoming space for coffee, breakfast, and connection.

Originally launched in 2017, OTL quickly gained cult status for its clean aesthetic, strong brews, and breakfast favorites served with quiet consistency. The café not only became a go-to for Miami’s design set but also helped define the social culture of the district. Its unexpected closure left a lingering absence—one that many hoped would eventually be filled. Now, in partnership with The Moore, OTL has reemerged, refreshed but unmistakably familiar.

A Familiar Ritual, Refined for Today

Located on the ground floor of The Moore at 4040 NE 2nd Avenue, the new iteration of OTL honors its original identity—minimalist, inviting, and design-forward—while embracing the elevated environment of its new home. Surrounded by The Moore’s curated spaces and cultural programming, OTL functions as both a neighborhood café and a touchpoint for The Moore’s hotel and private club guests.

Its curated morning menu offers a concise edit of OTL staples. Returning fan favorites include the Egg & Cheese Sandwich layered with tomato aioli on brioche, the Avocado Toast topped with pickled onions and chili flakes, and the always-popular Bagel & Lox reimagined with a spicy twist. For a sweeter start, guests can indulge in French Toast with mascarpone and maple syrup or the dairy-free Chia Coconut Pudding with seasonal fruit. Fresh pastries—like buttery croissants and chocolate croissants—remain essential to the experience.

Breakfast is offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., designed for those passing through on their morning routine as well as those lingering in the space between work and leisure.

OTL’s return dovetails with the emergence of The Moore as one of Miami’s most dynamic cultural and hospitality destinations. Located within the restored 1922 Moore Building, the nearly 90,000-square-foot property is a multidisciplinary complex that houses a hotel, private club, restaurants, exhibition spaces, and high-design office environments—all anchored by Elastika, the iconic Zaha Hadid-designed installation suspended in the atrium.

Beyond OTL, The Moore’s first floor features Elastika restaurant, an all-day dining concept fusing Mediterranean inspiration with modern American cuisine. The second floor is home to The Club at The Moore, a private space offering dining, bars, and lounge areas for members. Above that, The Workplace at The Moore provides high-end co-working spaces, while the top floor holds The Hotel at The Moore—a collection of 15 suites available to both members and non-members—alongside a 4,500-square-foot art gallery.

With programming that spans art, design, and hospitality, The Moore has positioned itself as a central player in Miami’s creative economy. By inviting OTL into its fold, the property underscores its commitment to honoring Miami’s cultural mainstays while offering elevated, design-centric experiences for a new generation of patrons.

More Than a Comeback

The return of OTL is not just a reopening—it’s a reaffirmation of the role a thoughtfully executed café can play in the social and cultural architecture of a neighborhood.

“The return of OTL felt inevitable. It’s not just a café, it’s part of the cultural fabric of this neighborhood.”

Brady Wood, Founder and CEO of The Moore

And now, with a new address and renewed purpose, OTL reclaims its seat at the table—still local, still loved, and now a defining part of one of Miami’s most talked-about spaces.
