June 25th, 2025 – When Miami’s plant-based dining scene was still in its infancy, Love Life Café helped shape its trajectory. Nearly a decade after first opening its doors in Wynwood, the beloved vegan institution is coming back to where it all began. On Saturday, June 28, co-founders Veronica Menin and Diego Tosoni will reopen Love Life Café at its original home: 2616 NW 5th Avenue.
This return isn’t just a reopening—it’s a restoration. The original team is back, the mission is unchanged, and the passion for nourishing, consciously crafted cuisine is stronger than ever.
“It feels amazing to be back in our original home. This is where Love Life started, and we’re grateful for the chance to bring it back to life and keep growing with the Miami community.”
Diego Tosoni, Co-Founder of Love Life Café
An Elevated Take on Familiar Favorites
Love Life Café’s updated menu holds on to the classics—tacos, burgers, bowls, empanadas, sushi—while introducing new creations that deepen its culinary edge. Among the newcomers are a plant-based Reuben sandwich and a Wild Mushroom Sandwich, both of which bring serious flavor without sacrificing nutritional intent.
A new pizza program—made possible by a state-of-the-art oven—will expand one of the restaurant’s most popular offerings, now with a focus on texture, crispness, and inventive toppings. Expect daily housemade pastries and dressings, a curated beer and wine list, and an expanded focus on high-protein dishes clearly labeled with icons and nutritional breakdowns. It’s a thoughtful move aimed at dispelling myths around plant-based diets and protein content.
New Additions: Thoughtfully Designed for All Ages
The reboot also brings new family-friendly features. A conscious kids’ menu, complete with a plant-based “happy meal” box, is officially rolling out after a successful pilot run at recent events. There’s also a dedicated plant-based catering program for kids’ parties—offering a feel-good alternative for modern parents seeking clean, creative options for their little ones.
Every dish on the menu underscores the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability, health, and local sourcing. Organic produce—sourced primarily from nearby farms—remains a foundational component of Love Life’s culinary ethos.
A Space That Feels Like Home—Because It Was
While the menu is broader and the offerings more ambitious, the space retains the easygoing charm of the original café. Menin and Tosoni have added personalized touches—Copacabana-style tilework as a nod to Menin’s Brazilian roots and hand-built booths by Tosoni himself—all while preserving the welcoming tone that made the spot a neighborhood cornerstone.
“Our team has been with us through everything. To have the full original crew back together for this next chapter is incredibly special.”
Veronica Menin, Co-Founder of Love Life Café
The Heart of Miami’s Conscious Dining Movement
Love Life Café isn’t just another vegan restaurant. It’s a reflection of Miami’s maturing taste, a touchstone for conscious dining, and a celebration of culinary creativity without compromise. The café’s return to Wynwood feels less like a reopening and more like a reunion—between a restaurant and its roots, a team and its neighborhood, and a city and the ideas that first inspired it to think differently about food.
