As the Summer Fancy Food Show took over New York City from June 29 to July 1, Veroni seized the moment to commemorate its 100th anniversary with unmistakable flair. Booths #2818–2820 weren’t just a trade show stop—they were a tribute to craftsmanship, family heritage, and the Italian art of charcuterie. The milestone marked more than longevity; it highlighted the brand’s evolution from a small-town shop in Emilia-Romagna to the top Italian charcuterie brand in the U.S., with a trajectory that shows no signs of slowing.
A Century of Craftsmanship, Sliced to Perfection
Founded in 1925, Veroni has always centered itself around quality and authenticity. But it’s the brand’s ability to adapt and innovate—without compromising tradition—that defines its enduring success. Over the past century, Veroni has recorded defining moments, including the 1996 creation of a 2.6-ton mortadella (measuring 6.5 feet in diameter) and the 2016 opening of a slicing facility in Logan, New Jersey. This move allowed Veroni to slice its 100% Italian-imported meats locally, preserving flavor while aligning with U.S. food standards.
By 2024, the company had achieved $190 million in revenue, with a remarkable 25% year-over-year growth in the U.S. market. Veroni’s stateside momentum has been bolstered by its presence at major tennis tournaments, including the Miami Open, Cincinnati Open, and Internazionali BNL d’Italia. For the third consecutive year, Veroni will return as the Official Italian Charcuterie Sponsor of the Cincinnati Open, and 2025 will also mark its debut at the US Open, where the brand will unveil a private lounge experience.
Aperitivo, Elevated: The Aperitime and Snack Lines
At this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, Veroni spotlighted its best-selling Aperitime and Snack lines—designed to bring the conviviality of Italian Aperitivo culture into American homes and lunchboxes.
The Aperitime Line consists of three thoughtfully curated, ready-to-serve platters that feature Veroni’s premium cured meats, including Salame, Soppressata, and Italian Prosciutto. Each board is paired with Italian favorites like cheeses, olives, dried fruits, and breadsticks, making them ideal for entertaining or unwinding with a chilled Spritz.
The Snack Line, by contrast, embraces portability without sacrificing sophistication. With six compact options featuring Italian Salame, Provolone, dried fruits, and breadsticks, these high-protein trays are tailored for busy professionals and discerning snackers seeking a balance of indulgence and convenience.
A Modern Take on a Classic: Mortadella “Grill and Enjoy”
While tradition runs deep at Veroni, so does the spirit of reinvention. At the show, the brand unveiled a new spin on a time-honored staple: Mortadella “Grill and Enjoy.” This 14-ounce thick-cut slice—measuring 8.7 inches in diameter and 0.8 inches thick—was designed specifically for grilling, opening the door to new culinary applications for a classic product. Already embraced in Italy, the concept aims to expand American palates and diversify what an Aperitivo board can offer.
As the aroma of cured meats and Italian hospitality filled the air in Manhattan, Veroni’s centennial celebration served as a moment of reflection and a glimpse ahead. With an unwavering dedication to quality, a pulse on U.S. consumer preferences, and a portfolio that effortlessly bridges old-world tradition with modern convenience, Veroni continues to define what it means to lead in today’s luxury food market.
