Daniel’s Miami Cuts Into Coral Gables: A Sophisticated Steakhouse Steps Onto the Scene
Daniel’s Miami Officially Opens in Coral Gables with Elevated Steaks, Seafood, and Style
Gioia Hospitality Group is sharpening its culinary edge in Miami. On July 23, the team behind the MICHELIN Guide-recommended Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, will open the doors to Daniel’s Miami, a sleek new modern steakhouse located at 1500 San Ignacio Avenue in the former Fiola Miami space.
Set in Coral Gables, Daniel’s Miami brings together premium cuts, refined local seafood, and the kind of polished European-style hospitality that has become a signature of the Gioia brand. The restaurant marks a meaningful return for founder Thomas Angelo, who co-owned the former Fiola location and now reclaims the iconic address with a reimagined vision alongside his daughter Kassidy Angelo, Culinary Director Danny Ganem, Executive Chef Luis Salcedo, Director of Operations Scott Ozler, and Wine & Beverage Director Daniel Bishop.
“We’ve been fortunate to build a loyal following in Fort Lauderdale, including many Miami guests who have asked for a Daniel’s experience closer to home,” said Angelo.
“Daniel’s Miami will answer that call in a fresh, yet familiar space, with an exceptional menu, and the same incredible team our guests have come to know.”

A Menu That Cuts Above
At Daniel’s Miami, the steak program takes center stage, highlighting globally sourced selections like Stone Axe and Margaret River Wagyu from Australia and a dramatic Tableside Wagyu Prime Rib from Texas’s Strube Ranch. But the meat isn’t the only headline. Fresh seafood towers, whole Dover Sole, and the Lobster Fra Diavolo offer elegant counterpoints to the heavier cuts, while housemade pastas and vegetarian-forward plates ensure there’s something for every appetite.
Returning favorites from the Fiola Miami era—like the Rigatoni alla Vodka, Spaghetti alla Chitarra with Truffles, and signature Branzino—are back by popular demand, as is the decadently rich Chocolate Cake.
Ganem’s kitchen philosophy centers on responsible sourcing and sustainable partnerships, working with farms and fisheries that prioritize humane and ethical practices. It's a careful curation that shows on every plate.
A Bar Designed for Drop-Ins and Game Days
The new Bar at Daniel’s Miami is more than an afterthought—it’s a centerpiece. Redesigned with a sleek new bar top, TVs, and elevated seating, the space features an all-day menu made for casual sophistication. Expect comforting hits like Chef Danny’s Double Patty Smash Burger, Cacio e Pepe, and rotating seasonal dishes.
Wine & Beverage Director Daniel Bishop, alongside Coral Gables cocktail veteran Cesar Lopez, has developed a refined beverage program spotlighting favorites like the Daniel’s Martini and Canyon Margarita, complemented by fresh craft cocktails. Bishop will also carry over the award-winning wine list that secured Fiola Miami a Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” for six consecutive years.
A Return to Form—And A Forward Look
The interiors of Daniel’s Miami—reimagined by designer Santiago Bustamante and Angelo—mirror the upscale tone of its sister location in Fort Lauderdale. A hunter green palette, Murano glass chandeliers, and David Yarrow photography deliver an aesthetic blend of warmth and sophistication. The refurbished private dining room and La Terrazza, the rooftop terrace, will host intimate gatherings and large-scale events alike.
The restaurant will offer lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch, with reservations available exclusively via RESY. As part of Miami Spice (August 1–September 30), Daniel’s Miami will present three-course prix-fixe menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch, as well as a five-course Wagyu Tasting Experience as part of the Signature Spice Experience.
Wine lovers can also look forward to the return of the acclaimed monthly wine dinner series, alongside major global collaborations—most notably, the 2025 U.S. edition of the Rare Tour for the 101 World’s Best Steakhouses, which Daniel’s Miami will host in October with Rockpool Steakhouse (Sydney) and Schrader Winery (Napa Valley).
