Mahogany Club Brings Elevated Bahamian Cuisine to British Colonial Nassau
British Colonial Nassau, one of the Bahamas’ most storied hotels, has debuted an exceptional new dining concept: Mahogany Club. Under the leadership of Bahamian native Chef Antonio Williams, the restaurant offers an immersive culinary experience that honors the nation’s gastronomic heritage while introducing refined, contemporary interpretations of beloved island dishes.
A Culinary Tribute to Bahamian Heritage
“Introducing a culinary concept like Mahogany Club to the property was really meant to honor the rich culinary traditions of The Bahamas while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in our local cuisine.”
Kristen Whylly, General Manager at British Colonial Nassau
The result is a restaurant that celebrates familiar flavors while surprising guests with innovative techniques and elevated presentations.
Mahogany Club’s menu tells a story of Bahamian culture on every plate. Signature dishes include the Dayboat Snapper with Peas and Grits, Short Rib with Vitamalt Glaze, and a sophisticated take on the classic Potato Salad. Each dish blends the comfort of traditional island fare with the creativity of modern gastronomy, appealing to both local patrons and international travelers.
An Intimate Setting in an Iconic Location
Open Wednesday through Saturday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Mahogany Club offers dinner service in an intimate yet relaxed atmosphere. The setting is ideal for any occasion, from romantic evenings to celebratory gatherings, with service designed to reflect the warmth and hospitality for which the Bahamas is known.
Reservations are available via OpenTable, ensuring ease of access for guests staying at the hotel as well as those visiting from elsewhere in Nassau.
British Colonial Nassau: A Landmark of Style and History
Mahogany Club joins a property renowned for over a century of heritage. The independently owned British Colonial Nassau, managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, recently underwent a meticulous restoration, enhancing its early 20th-century charm while introducing modern luxury. The hotel features 288 guest rooms and suites, seven dining venues, two oceanfront pools overlooking a private 300-foot beach, and lush tropical gardens.
With a prime Bay Street location near Nassau’s cruise port, Straw Market, and historic landmarks, British Colonial blends sophisticated style with a deep connection to Bahamian culture. The addition of Mahogany Club further cements its position as both a hospitality and culinary destination.
