The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in Munich’s old town, in a Neo-Renaissance building dating back to 1880. ACCOMMODATIONS
The Mandarin Oriental features 48 luxurious guestrooms and 25 sprawling suites — no two alike. The rooms are decorated with an East-meets-West flair combining sleek Neo-Biedermeier style furniture with Asian touches and accent pieces. Room amenities include Bang & Olufsen flat screen TVs, push-button window blinds and sheers, complimentary minibars, down comforters and crisp linens. The large marble bathrooms are appointed with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, bidets and plush Egyptian cotton bathrobes.

DINING
The hotel’s main restaurant is the trendy Matsuhisa, Munich by world-renowned Chef, Nobu Matsuhisa. For breakfast the restaurant offers a lavish buffet spread with made-to-order eggs and traditional weisswursts presented in a bowl of hot water. For lunch it features a selection of bento boxes with delicious tastings from the famous Nobu menu.At dinner Matsuhisa serves Nobu’s signature dishes including the legendary black cod and yellowfin tuna sashimi with jalapeños, grilled lamb cooked over tealeaves with Peruvian Anticucho sauce, as well as traditionally prepared sushi.During the summer, guests can also dine al fresco on The Terrace, a newly redesigned rooftop restaurant at the hotel overlookingthe twin domes of the Munich Cathedral and the city skyline. The menu featuresa mix of Asian, Latin American and Mediterranean dishes.
