ACA Galleries Celebrate New Exhibition

ACA Galleries hosted a private preview celebrating the opening of Bruce High Quality Foundation: The End of Western Art – the Brooklyn-based collective's first solo exhibition in the U.S. in over 3 years. The intimate event took place downtown at 529 West 20th Street, New York, beginning at 8:00pm.

BHQF began as an anonymous collective, often blending fact and fiction in an attempt to reframe cultural discourse. At ACA Galleries, curator Nemo Librizzi paired works from BHQF's oeuvre side-by-side with the very artists out of history they are commenting on, including examples of ancient art, Renaissance artists such as Giorgio Vasari all the way to 20th Century Masters such as Pablo Picasso, Chaim Soutine, Albert Pinkham Ryder, Marcel Duchamp and Joseph Cornell, among others.

The "Bruces" were joined by Casey Bergen (Director, ACA Galleries), Mikaela Sardo (Curator, ACA Galleries) and guest curator Nemo Librizzi, along with guests: Alina Baikova (Model), Matt Dillon (Actor), Jordan Doner (Photographer), Marcy Edelstein (Collector), Charles Gepp (Fashion), Andrew Philip Heid (Architect), Adrian Kondratowicz (Artist), Tali Lennox (Model), Carly Mark (Fashion), John Newsom (Artist), Gaetano Pesce (Artist), Natasha Prince (Model), Polina Proshkina (Social), Kim Vernon (Fashion).
