Philanthropy and Fashion Align at the 11th Annual Waxman Luncheon

The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation Raised Nearly $200,000 with a Celebration Honoring Susan Pernick and a Live Presentation by Akris

A Stylish Step Toward Cancer Research Advancement

In a city known for its style and social conscience, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) hosted its 11th Annual Luncheon at Riverpark in New York City—merging philanthropic purpose with high fashion. The sold-out gathering welcomed more than 150 supporters, who helped raise over $200,000 for SWCRF’s mission to fund collaborative cancer research.

This year’s luncheon spotlighted philanthropist Susan Pernick, recognized for her far-reaching contributions to cancer research and beyond. A steadfast supporter of causes spanning education, women’s health, the arts, and Judaism, Pernick also brings a global perspective through her leadership role as American President of Israel’s Shenkar College of Engineering, Art, and Design. Her dedication to advancing both scientific discovery and cultural enrichment made her an apt honoree for the occasion.
