Since its debut in 1998, Louis Vuitton’s City Guide collection has redefined travel literature for the luxury-minded, offering curated experiences for travelers who seek more than just a postcard moment. Now, as summer 2025 unfolds, the maison introduces a new chapter: City Guide Resorts, a refined, compact format dedicated to four of Europe’s most sought-after coastal destinations—Capri, Ibiza, Mykonos, and Saint-Tropez.

This sun-drenched update distills the essence of each locale into a 96-page keepsake, enriched with contributions from local tastemakers and illustrated by artists whose work captures the Mediterranean spirit through a fresh visual language. Designed for the modern flâneur, each guide is more than a travel companion—it’s an artful window into the cultural, culinary, and creative pulse of the Riviera and Aegean coasts.

A Collector's Edition for the Cultured Traveler

Each City Guide Resort comes in a compact 107 mm x 163 mm format, making it as portable as it is collectible. Within its elegant pages, a fold-out pocket holds a set of four illustrated Louis Vuitton luggage tags, one for each destination—merging function and sentiment in true maison style.

Far from a standard directory, the guides are built on personal insight, with each edition anchored by voices embedded in the soul of the city:

  • Capri is revealed through the eyes of art and nature enthusiast Vincenzo Sorrentino, with illustrations by Charline Collette that evoke the island’s dreamlike cliffs and sun-bleached villas.

  • In Ibiza, designer and icon Jade Jagger offers her take on the island’s creative energy, with visual storytelling by Muhammad Fatchurofi.

  • Mykonos is interpreted by ceramic artist Marissa Taboulchanas, who knows the island beyond the glitz, while Charlotte Molas lends her playful yet precise illustration style.

  • Saint-Tropez receives a nautical nod from Pierre Roinson, Director of the Voiles de Saint-Tropez, with whimsical renderings by Virginie Morgand.

These contributors provide a cultural dialogue, a rare glimpse behind the glossy façades, all curated with the house’s signature discernment.

Curated Listings, Local Secrets, and the Art of Wandering

Every guide covers a thoughtful selection of luxury and boutique accommodations, destination restaurants and local eateries, artisanal shops, fine food markets, museums, ateliers, and cultural landmarks. These aren’t filtered lists—they are curated experiences shaped by insiders who understand the tempo and texture of each destination.

What distinguishes the Louis Vuitton City Guide Resorts collection is its dedication to revealing both the iconic and the hidden. It might point travelers to the sea-view terraces of an acclaimed hotel or the shaded patio of a family-run taverna, the art gallery around the bend, or the perfect hour for a swim at a nearly secret beach.

The guides extend beyond paper: a digital edition is available via the Louis Vuitton City Guide app for iPhone and iPad, offering interactive maps, updated listings, and immersive extras such as cultural calendars and photo portfolios. For those downloading in July 2025, the app is free to explore before reverting to €5.99 per destination.

The Spirit of Travel, Reimagined

With the City Guide Resorts collection, Louis Vuitton continues its legacy not only as a purveyor of fine travel goods but as a curator of global experience. Each destination-specific guide—priced at €20 in Louis Vuitton boutiques, online at louisvuitton.com, and in select bookstores and concept stores—blends storytelling, aesthetics, and local intelligence to craft a new kind of passport: one that doesn't expire, crease, or collect dust, but instead inspires.

Launching June 27, 2025, these four editions form a cohesive set, ideal for those chasing summer’s trail across the Mediterranean or simply dreaming of sun-soaked sophistication. More than ever, Louis Vuitton proves that travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how you experience it.
